I own 2 guns: a revolver and a shotgun. I don't know if I would use them to defend myself or my family. The guns I have are "hand me downs" from a great uncle who was in the police force. So, they are more of a keep sake than anything else. As far as turning the other cheek goes, I think if somebody blew my head off, that wouldn't be an issue. Peace.

Sure do! Well, considering I'm a teenager, actually my dad owns it. It's old and away somewhere so on the off chance that something actually did happen in my neighborhood, it probably wouldn't be of much use. But if someone had a chance to get to it, we would definitely use it to defend ourselves. Yes, I'm Christian, and there is nothing wrong with doing that. As for turning the other cheek... turn the other cheek and do what? smile happily while we let them rob us or worse shoot someone we love? ...um, no

I have an antique 16 ga. shotgun in mint condition.
An heirloom from my grandfather. I've never fired it. I don't even have shells for it.
Would I ever use it to protect myself?
I doubt it.
As far as fighting when one’s life or property is threatened, there is not a whole lot in the Bible concerning this. Exodus 22 does show quite a bit about God’s attitude towards self-defense. Let’s look at Exodus 22:2-3. "If a thief is caught breaking in and is struck so that he dies, the defender is not guilty of bloodshed; but if it happens after sunrise, he is guilty of bloodshed. A thief must certainly make restitution, but if he has nothing, he must be sold to pay for his theft.” Obviously here we see that when a thief breaks into someone’s house at night and that person defends his home and slays the thief, God does not hold that death over the defender’s head. However, God does not wish for anyone to take law into his or her own hands. This is why it is said that if a thief is struck down during the daylight the defender is guilty of bloodshed. Now this is speaking of thievery not an attack, I would believe that if the thief were to attack the defender even during the day, that man would be justified to defend himself.

First, you must realize that America has been Christian since it's creation and has never become some sort of fascist Christian regime that slaughters all those who oppose Christian indoctrination. Second, you and all the other whiners like you who seem to feel that it's wrong for a government to represent the MAJORITY of it's people (the majority are indeed Christian), need to learn first what seperation of church and state really means and what it was actually intended for before you try to use it to bolster your opinion. Seperation of church and state has NEVER meant that the Government cannot or should not use religion as a basis for it's decision making. It simply means that Congress cannot set up an official religion. What does that boil down to? Basically that Congress cannot set up an official religion that every citizen has to follow, it cannot prohibit religious expression (in this way the decision to not allow prayer in public schools is actually unconstitutional). See you learn these things when you delve more deeply into matters and learn the context of things instead of twisting words in the Constitution to mean what you want it to.

Sounds like trick question, but yes I own several guns and yes if my family were in a "life threating" situation, yes I would defend them. With deadly force if I need too.

I dont own any gun i put my faith in God and his angels. We are called to be living sacrifices and be lead as sheep to the slaughter. Jesus never needed a weapon and when he returns he will speak the word and in will go forth as a sword more powerful than any nuclear weapon. If Jesus could call the angels down to assist what he did then we have that option to because he said greater works you shall do. That includes raising the dead and calling down angels to protect us. In my experience i find praying in tongues to be greater than having a weapon such as a gun.
And ive heard-read dreams and visions that when the Russians and Chinese do invade our nation that we wont have a chance really to go get our guns Gods bringing the sword of judgement to the world. Starting with America
Revelation 13:9-10 (King James Version)
9If any man have an ear, let him hear.
10He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
And any pretrib-rapture people that are still believing we wont see it and want to debate me save your breath you are in denial we are not leaving WAKE UP ! AND GROW UP!

1) I do.
2) Without hesitation.
3) A slap ain't the same as someone coming through my door with a gun.
"And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And (Jesus) said unto them, It is enough." Luke 22:38
Swords might have been enough for the Apostles....but there's nothing like a S&W .357 loaded with hollow-points.

My Dad taught me to shoot when I was very young. Yes, I own a gun, and I am still a pretty good shot.
Yes, I would use it to defend myself or my family, in a New York heartbeat.
And if you slap me, you just might get slapped back.
In your opinion, I suppose, this makes me not a good Christian.
Luckily for me, you are not my judge........
