Do you assume that they are specifically refering to your personal god, or can you accept that atheists believe that ALL gods are equally invalid?
If you think that only your god matters, do you think that people of other religions are just as godless as Atheists?
If you accept that Atheist claim ALL GODS are equally invalid, do you accept that there are other concepts of god just as valid as yours?

Nicole, no, I don't particularly care for YOUR answer, but the others have been quite good, thank you.

Angeltress, you did not answer the question. I would honestly like to hear your view on this matter.

I assume they're referring to all Gods and I accept that other concepts of God are just as valid as mine even if I disagree with their model or concept. :)

I'm Pagan, and think it's pretty much equal-opportunity don't believe in any God. If it was only the Christian God an atheist had a problem with, they'd probably investigate other Gods and religions and not be an atheist. (I went that way after a few years of being an "apatheist".) This is a very good question!

Usually, I have to find out what they think the word/concept "God" refers to.
I have to say, honestly, that most atheists--like most "believers"--have an extremely simplistic understanding of the God concept. In my experience, many atheists don't reject God as much as they reject all of the riduculous ideas about God that they were force fed as children.
Rejecting some oversimplified, authoritarian, immature, anthropomorphic notion of God is NOT the same thing as rejecting God.

they're in all likelihood in basic terms joking, and doubtless attempting to make the point that describing a god as male would not make a lot experience, because that he's meant to be incorporeal and for this reason no longer have male genitalia or a Y chromosome. I truly have one buddy who does that, yet she's Jewish, no longer an atheist.

There is no such thing as a separate god---never has been--never will be---every one of the 8,000 Gods man has created has been false--& it doesn't matter how many he creates in the future---they will always be false.

I suppose if your gonna not believe in something, you may as well not believe in all other somethings in the same category.
Otherwise, you would believe in something.
Or...something.....

Most I hear refer to *all* Gods (me too). ... *No* supernatural at all. (Part 2 seems inapplicable for me - there is no "my God".)
