Of course you couldn't ask their permission, which you should, but did you even consider that you were forcing about 75 years worth of buying toilet paper on another human being?

Good question. I decided to not have children myself as I didn't want them to inherit a hereditary disease that I have.

However, I have nothing against parenthood in general: if a couple are healthy and have enough money, parenthood can be a very nice thing.

What freaks me out is all the really messed-up individuals out there who haven't a snowball's chance in Miami of having decent kids, yet reproduce anyways. I've seen people with low IQs, alcoholism, and a multiple-generation family history of sexual abuse and mental illness not even think twice about popping out several maladjusted copies of themselves. That's why I think that some people should be forcibly sterilized...

Yeah. Which is reason #203492345987 that I don't have kids. And think of all the trees I'm saving by not forcing another human being to use all that toilet paper. Do I get some kind of environmentalist award for that? :)

Yes, I thought long and hard about bringing life into this world. I had infertility problems all my life and didn't just get pregnant. It took 8 years of seeing doctors before my first child was even born. It took me 5 more years before my second and 5 more years before my third.

I in no way regret ever having them. I am in my 40's and my life revolves around them. I am preparing them for their future here on earth the best I can with God's guidance.

My kids will end of taking care of you and this world one day.
Dude, you are going to get old one day. Make sure YOU have made a worthwhile contribution. But after reading your snarky type question maybe it's best you don't procreate.

Perhaps children should be asked however there are some of us that would have loved to even have the opportunity to consider this scenario. Some of us though, just aren't that lucky.

I ask permission and my future kids keep telling me just to squirt them into a tissue.
