No. Life is a journey but some people born with a Cadillac and the majority with bicycles. The lottery or the cancer are examples of the unfair life.

No. I believe you get what you choose.
Some of this is subconscious, of course, and it's not like everyone has full clarity on what the results of their choices will be... but people's behavior, intentional or not, tends to bring certain things into their lives.
'Deserve' is an overused word, I think, and a favorite of those who judge others. I know (and avoid) someone who uses the fact that people aren't perfect as an excuse to treat them badly, saying they 'deserve' to be treated badly because they aren't perfect (or up to her standards).
And I know someone else who has been through a lot of hell in life but is a great person, and I think she 'deserves' a lot more than she'll ever get, but she's gotten what she's chosen, and fully admits that she always has.
And I'm not going to pretend that my good fortune in life has anything to do with me 'deserving' it... I created my life consciously with my own hands. It has nothing to do with my worth. It has to do with the choices I've made, and make every day. Even the little things, like how we treat people, can make a huge difference, not just the big things, like whether to go to college.

Yes, as well as believing that people get what they dont deserve at times, as a result of random chance. What I believe is kinda like the idea of "karma" but not really the same.. its more of my own idea based on what I have seen in life. I think that throught ones life, our actions have equal and opposite reactions... if your actions are negative then you will get negative reactions in response. Kinda like how positive and negative charged particles always flow towards balance... I think its the same in life. When the clouds become to charged with negativity they restore balance by striking down with lightning to equalize the charge.. in life if you give only negative energy away by doing bad things, then you create a void within yourself and thus attract more negativity back to yourself in order to restore the balance.. If you give out positive energy you get positive energy back. At least thats what I believe, in a way. I am agnostic in case you were wondering, I dont ascribe to any organized religious doctrine or dogma.

No, I do not believe in karma. **** happens, even to innocent children. A great deal of the **** that happens to people is a consequence of their actions, but not necessarily grounds for such an awful thing to be justified. Some people get what they deserve, but I'd have to imagine that most of the suffering in the world was not earned.

I think people get what they work for and that may appear to be the same thing as getting what they deserve. Lazy people don't tend to get much because they're not working for much. If you want more out of life, apply yourself and make it happen. If you do, you'll be rewarded for the effort. Of course, this only applies to material things. Health and such can go bad for anyone. I don't believe in karma...I believe bad things happen to everyone at one time or another.

If you're bad, bad things happen. If you're good, bad things still happen, just less frequently. I think the concept of getting what you deserve can be pretty subjective. I think I deserve a new car and a pile of cash - someone else may not see it that way. In terms of "He robbed an old lady and the cops shot him, so he got what he deserved"....well, that's also subjective morality. Quite frankly, I'm in no position to say who deserves what.

I do believe that people get what they deserve. Just not necessarily in one lifetime.

No. Too many good people suffer, while people who deserve suffering get rewarded.
