Jesus Christ died on the cross to save us from our sins! Three days later He rose from the dead and then eventually ascended into Heaven! So He is in Heaven! The Holy Spirit was then sent to us! He is in our hearts if we just listen!

Jesus was excecuted on a cross. This was to pay a penalty for the sins of others as Jesus lived a perfect and blameless life. This is so we would not have to serve the just penalty for our sins. Only someone perfect was worthy to take the punishment for the imperfect. He died an agonizing death due to heart failure, suffocation and wounds from the beating he took prior to his crucifixion. He was truly dead and was not in a coma or passed out. He stayed dead until the third day when he returned to life. This cannot be explained by reason. The dead can't return to life unless there is something supernatural behind it. Christians say that the supernatural is the power of God. He returned to life to show that not only did he pay the price for our wrongs, but that good triumphed over evil.
Jesus is now in heaven at the right hand side of God, sitting. This is a place of honor. Look at a formal dinner where there is a head table. The guest of honor sets to the right of the podium. He ascended into heaven supernaturally to prepare to come again. We are not sure when this will be, but it could be any time. Chances are we will see him standing at the right side of God instead of sitting. Think of him like a lawyer and God as the judge. God asks how you lived your life. Jesus then speaks for you and says there is no charge against you because he (Jesus) already paid the penalty.

After he died on the cross. He was taken down and put in a tomb. His body stayed there for a little while. Then he resurrected bodily and left the tomb. He did not descend to Hell to combat with Satan as some believe. Jesus finished all the work on the cross, with his death.
Jesus was then seen by as many as 500 people, including the disciples, over the next several days. Then he ascended to heaven to be with his father.

After he died they put him in a tomb. He was there, dead for 3 days then rose from the dead and exited the tomb.
Came out, talked with certain people and taught them some things.
Then "He ascended into heaven where he sits at the right hand of God, from there he shall judge the quick and the dead."
Pretty much he went to heaven and now he's the guy to talk to to get in the gates.
Whether his body went to heaven or whether it means he died again is something that different Christians have different thoughts on. But you get the basics.

Everyone has a point of view on your question and yet in reality no one really knows. What ever they say has been told to them and they believe in these things blindly. I guess it's called blind faith. If this person existed then the information we would receive about him would change dramatically over the many years that the tale has been told. We all have our own perception of what a story is and we make of it what we want to or what we are told. This is probably not a devoted Christians answer but I feel it's an honest answer. You could read about it and then make your own mind up whether it is fact or fiction if your are really interested. With all the lack of proof and documentaries that have been made about it, people still have their own idea and won't believe any thing else.

We believe that three days after Jesus died, he came back to life and lived on the earth for 40 more days to instruct his disciples about the kingdom of God. At the end of the 40 days, he ascended up into heaven, where he sits at the right hand of God. When he returns one day, he will return the same way he left, so basically he will descend down from heaven, only everyone will be able to see him then.

The bible says that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Therefore since God is just, and will not let any sin go unpunished, there must be a sacrifice or we are doomed. So that is why Jesus who was God manifested in the flesh came and died on the cross. What is God worth? God is worth an infinite value, therefore when Jesus died on the cross the sacrifice was worth everything. So if somebody asks how does Jesus dying on the cross save many peole from an eternity in hell. Tell them because Jesus was worth more than all of us put together. Jesus did not weep because of the mockings, slashing, or the cross, but because God was going to pour down his wrath upon Jesus, and crush him to death. For whenever God looked upon Jesus, he saw the sins of the world. Many people say Jesus, went to hell for three days, before he arose from the dead. I don't believe it was necessary for him to go to hell. I think he just laid dead in the tomb, for three days, and then God breathed life unto him, and he arose from the dead. Then after his ressurection, he ascended into heaven. The bible makes it clear that he will come back again, at the battle of armagedon which is not far off.

After he died he spent 3 days and nights in the "heart of the earth". He conquered hell and took the keys of death away from Satan. Then he rose, was on earth for 40 days in a new glorified body. He then ascended into heaven and is now sitting at the right hand of God and getting ready for his 2nd return.

Jesus Christ died on a wooden cross. His body was placed in a tomb. He went to hell for three days, where he suffered for all the sin of mankind. After that he appeared to a few people on earth, then he departed to be in Heaven with His father. Now He waits for us.
