Some of my friends have told me that it very common to get problems with the roof? Is this true?

You just have to take care of it. The biggest issue is they do wear out over time. The shortest time of the 7 convertables I have owned was 9 years.

Yes it is, and this could be anything from a scorned lover to a tree branch. Convertibles are nice when you can drive with them open, any other time they are a complete pain.

Deppends on what you call common. Keep the seals lubricated and clean and you should be fine.

yes... at least with our convertible top... it's not the metal kind but the fabric one... it tends to rip... other than that it's ok...
