i need a small loan, around 2-5 thousand. My bank does not give out loans like this, any one know who else might?

Look up a loan agency in the phone book. Your bank should give it to you unless of course your credit sucks or the car isn't worth the amount you are requesting. Maybe take a title loan at a pawn shop or something.

If your car is worth more than the loan amount and your bank won't give you the loan, your problem is your credit score. ALL banks make this kind of loan. Look for a local credit union. Many allow anyone living in a certain area to join.

A credit union will use a car for collateral. Just find a local credit union and see what the guidelines are for joining, sometimes you only need to be a resident in that state to join.

What your are looking for is a title loan. The is also called title pawning.
