If you consider 37 old, that is. I have noticed what some folks have been ordering lately whwn I have been out on the town. First: What is the deal with Red Bull and vodka? Why drink an energy drink with something that relaxes you and would taste foul anyway?

Second: What's the deal with drinking backyard bears? I can underwstand not wanting to drink anything Anheiser Busch related as that stuff just stinks out loud. But PBR? This is like drinking Milwaukee's Best! My generation fought for more microbrews and imports so we wouldn't have to drink the weak mass market stuff! One of you youngsters out there please explain it to me!

They probably think it's cool to drink like that. They see what their parents drink, then mix it with what's hott and there you go, a babyboomers drink. I don't know, that sounds really weird, especially that combination. :/

PBR (which is now brewed by Miller for the corporation that just owns the PBR trademark and also trademarks for many other beer brands) for some reason has decided to sponsor many NPR programs, so I presume some NPR listeners are buying PBR as a sign of loyal support.

Wait a minute - I like the Red Bull and vodka (Absolute) thing. I agree with you about the BS beer. The so called "youngsters" aren't drinking the BS beer either. Plus our ancestors (lol) passed on drinking habits to us and the youngsters. Personally I stick with either Jose or Jack straight up.

I am right there with ya. I don't consider you old by the way. I am 31 don't get all these weirdo drinks the 20 somethings are having. Would much rather have a local micro brew beer or a nice glass of red wine.

To each their own I suppose.

THE RED BULL AND VODKA DRINK IS QUITE GOOD. EVEN THOUGH RED BULL IS SUPPOSE TO GIVE YOU ENERGY, ITS REALLY JUST LIKE A SUGARY DRINK, SO ITS LIKE A MIXER. ALL I CAN SAY IS TRY IT. ITS NOT HALF BAD. THE RED BULL AND BLUE VODKA IS BETTER.
BUT AS FAR AS THE BACKYARD BEERS, SOME PEOPLE HAVE LOWER STANDARDS WHEN IT COMES TO THEIR ALCOHOL. THEY ARE NOT LOOKING TO ENJOY THE BEER OR ALCOHOL, THEY ARE LOOKING TO GET DRUNK FOR CHEAP.
