As I know Christ Himself didn’t keep it…. that’s why the Jews got angry to Him, because he lectured people in the Sabbath day in the synagogue

I do not believe that Jesus kept the Sabbath in the wave the Orthodox Jews want him to. That would've included no teaching, no work of any kind. In a strict sense if we read the biblical reference to the Sabbath it would mean we'd do obey and observe a day of rest.

Nothing wrong with that, and in fact if I was Jesus I'd probably be a little ticked off that people were telling me that I couldn't work when I wanted to speak what I wanted to, that I had to lay around, and essentially waste another day of my very limited existence on this earth.

People today, under the New Testament, are not directed or authorized to keep the seventh day (Sabbath), but, rather, are directed to worship on the first day of the week (Acts 20:7; I Corinthians 16:1-2). Keeping of the seventh day (the Sabbath) was a part of the Old Testament Law, which was done away with in Christ (II Corinthians 3; Galatians 3:16-19; Ephesians 2:13-14; Hebrews 7:12; Hebrews 8:7). Christians cannot observe any part of the Old Law (including the Sabbath), because to do so is to fall from grace (Galatians 5:4)! Neither may they permit any man to judge them in respect of the Sabbath days (Colossians 2:16).

After much study; the sabbath day as Jesus said in

Mark 2:27 (New International Version)
"The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath."

In the old testament there were the ten commandments but now there are two commandments which are important.

Matthew 22: 36-40
36"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" 37Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38This is the first and greatest commandment. 39And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'[c] 40All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

I am not suggesting that the old testament is irrelevant, but put in the perspective of observing the sabbath certain things were substituted by God.

There were some laws and customs that were followed in the old testament but not in the new testament.

One other one was , for each sin committed a sacrifice that involved blood shed was made; now we don't observe this practice anymore because Jesus was and is our atoning sacrifice for sins.

Leviticus 9:7 (New International Version)

7 Moses said to Aaron, "Come to the altar and sacrifice your sin offering and your burnt offering and make atonement for yourself and the people; sacrifice the offering that is for the people and make atonement for them, as the LORD has commanded."

"Saturday" was named after the Roman god of agriculture called Saturn. Observing the sabbath is a whole way of life not just taking rest on one day.

Let me tell you in Gen 1 when He created things evening and morning were the first day, evening and morning were the second and so forth, sundown to sundown [24 hours] is how God tells time and in the next chapter tells us God created, made Holy the Seventh Day, Sunday has NEVER been called Holy in ALL the bible, and if God did not make it holy you don't keep it holy either, the calenders we use today came around during Jesus time, And i do not think Adam and Eve were Jews, and in any case In Mark says this and NOTE THE WORDS in Mark. 2:27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:
2:28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.
Note Jesus the second member of The Godhead SAID that Sabbath was made for MAN HE DID "NOT" say it was for JEWS right, find out more free bible lessons www.amazingfacts.org talk to me also wgr88@yahoo.com God bless

Anyone who gets up from bed on a Sabbath day cannot be keeping the day holy, for he or she must attend to himself, or children, or neighbors or friends. You soon find that the place to draw the line is very tricky. Is the preacher not working on Sunday? Meanwhile, if the bus driver keeps the Sabbath day holy, then who takes people to church on Sundays? Thus the holiness of the Sabbath day is as defined by the interpreter.

This just shows that you should always try to read between the lines for the hidden message in any spiritual book. Don't take the literary meaning of anything you read as the right answer.

He is the Sabbath. The sabbath was under the law. The law has been fulfilled in Christ. Besides the sabbath was Fri-Sat night. If you are not going to observe leavened bread, Pentecost, trumpets, Tabernacles, weeks and jubilee whats the point? You know the other observances that God said should be observed forever.

The Sabbath laws were part of a comprehensive covenant God made with Israel. The people were not to pick and choose which commands they wanted to follow and not follow. Those who insist we must keep the Sabbath law do not understand that it is part of a covenant. If they must keep the Sabbath, then they must also set up the Tabernacle and slaughter animals for their sins.

Jesus was the Lamb of God who invalidated the animal sacrifices by spilling His own blood. When we walk in His life, we have the righteousness of Jesus imputed to us - as those who have the law fulfilled in us! We are no longer to pick and choose which laws to keep, including the Sabbath law. If we cease from our works of the flesh, we enter into the Sabbath rest (Heb. 4) God ordained from the beginning.

Jesus and his disciples broke many Kosher laws. Like eating wheat on the Sabbath, and taking long trips on the Sabbath.

It makes you wonder why Christians are so up in arms about homosexuality, as it was a Kosher law as well. Did Jesus fulfill all the OT laws or just the ones that are difficult to practice, like stoning children and eating pork and Keeping the sabbath holy?

As far as the Jews are concern, the observation is still enforced. God said that it will be the sign between them and God for generations to come, If you are not a Jew, then you may chose not to. If you claim however, that you believe in the teachings from the Old Testaments, then you also have a choice to follow it; just ask a Rabbi on how it is observed.

Sabbath means to rest, not in the sense that God was tired and needed a break, but that the work of creating the world was perfect, complete, ended.

Jesus' work on the cross also completes things, perfects our salvation and finishes His redemptive work. The sabbath changed from Saturday to Sunday not because of papal edict but to honor the fact that our saviour was resurrected on the first day of the week. And so we honor that day in remembrance of Him.
