If they are not able to afford the vehicle, ask them to get you a good "trade in" car so that you can use it towards getting the car that you wanted. Get a job, or raise your own money, put it with the trade in car and get the car that you want. That would show them how responsible you are and that you strive to work for what you want and appreciate their help along the way.

just be happy with whatever they are willing to give you..

a lot of us actually have to work and pay for our own vehicles.. be grateful someone's buying you a car!!

not to sound mean.. i'm just saying..

okay, now that i know what kind of car you want, i can further elaborate.. i don't think that the car you want is TOO outrageous.. i think it's reasonable.. if i was you, i'd ask my parents what kind of budget they have for your car.. if they say XXXXX amount of dollars and the bug you want is within that range, just tell them that you'd really like to have that particular car if possible.. if it's not within range, either take what you can get and be happy and grateful with that, or offer to save up some money and put it with their money to get what you really want.. keep in mind that you can always purchase your own car when you are 18.. so even if you get stuck with a clunkety lump of a car, you won't be stuck with it forever!! good luck..

Leave your parents alone don't play games. They will only get you what they want to get you! If they buy you any car be grateful and thank them!

Get a scholarship to college then get a good job and then buy the car you want.

parents have a budget and certain ideas about what kind of car you should drive. I wanted a Mustang so bad, don't even ask what I ended up with.

Well it'd help if you had mentioned what kind of car you're referring to so we have a better idea of the opposition that you are up against.

How shallow. You're lucky they might get you any car? I loved my first car...an old heap...bought by me. They've spent a lifetime paying for you. If you're old enough to drive you're old enough to start standing on your own two feet. Think of them!
