I am 30, in good shape, no fat anywhere on my body except for around my waist.

I do crunches and sit ups and still can't seem to kick that spare tire. Any advice?

ok - I am broke.. ways to lose it other than LIPO. I'd love to do that, that would solve the problems easily.

i have an exercise bike... use that, but running is way too hard on my bad knees (skateboarder for 20 years)

Hello! Unfortunately, you cannot spot reduce. The body loses its fat from all over, not just in one place. What are your eating habits like? Do you consume a lot of high sugar, high calorie acoholic beverages? Are you weight training? Are you performing some kind of cardiovascular exercise on a regular basis? Because you are doing crunches, I can assume you have muscle there, but the fat covering the muscle needs to be decreased by cardio AND healthy nutrition. I hope this helps.

you cant choose which body part to lose the weight off - it has to be overall weigh loss. mens bodies tend to have fat reserves on belly.
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter your stats and it will tell you how many calories a day you need to maintain your weight. take 300-400calories off that number and that's how much you need to lose weight.
eat 5-6 small meals a day instead of 3 big ones.
5-8 servings of fruit and vegetables a day.
8 glasses of water a day.
4-6 times a week cardio work out for 30-50min plus light weight training.
no junk food, no sodas, no white flour (white bread, pasta, cookies, cakes etc)

crunches dont help unless you do cardio. you are building core muscles, but not burning fat around them.

so... cheap solution: go running. not bicycle not elliptical not stair-master. just go running. good for love handles, too.
