When Christians are challenged with the validity of the bible view on gay marriage/homosexuality I often see them fall back on the answer "its obviously wrong because no child can come from that union/ they can not reproduce.". So if the reason homosexuality is obviously wrong is because the union cannot result in new life then how about barren women or men who are sterile? how about people who do not want children? are they all equally sinners because they cannot produce children... and are those of us who are perfectly capable but unwilling more so? just curious as to what line of logic you will follow..... if you are just going to fall back on bible quotes about sodomy don't bother to answer.

Just thought I'd ask if you were aware of the Washington (state) Defense of Marriage Alliance? It's a ballot initiative that, among other things, would make procreation a requirement for legal marriage.

Created in the image of the one God and equally endowed with rational souls, all men have the same nature and the same origin. Redeemed by the sacrifice of Christ, all are called to participate in the same divine beatitude: all therefore enjoy an equal dignity.

The Catholic Church believes there is nothing sinful about being homosexual. But homosexuals like all unmarried people are called to celibacy.

The Church specifically says that homosexuals "must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided."

With love in Christ.
