I'm a Stage Deli fan... i love the way the sandwiches are named after stars and the sandwiches are seriously HUGE. I remember my night sitting there with my friend enjoying a ruben as big as my head and watching it snow a little while we planned our next day. Maybe it was all of that put together but I loved it and would HAVE to go back when I come back to NYC.

Well, first of all, you can't really get messed up with streets in NYC, because they're all numbered for the most part, so its fairly easy. As for delis, they're all over Manhattan, one of the most famous is the Carnegie Deli which is on 7th ave betweeen 54th and 55th. As for pizza and italian pastries, your best bet is to go to Little Italy, which is in lower manhattan, and you can find plenty of places there.

The Carnegie Deli and Rest., 854 7th Ave. The sandwiches are HUGE!!! you can't even bite into it. My favorite is a Pastrami on rye with Russian dressing and coleslaw.

Katz's by far. Grab a tray and slide through the line. Order up a pastrami sandwich (and don't be afraid to split it, darn thing is huge!). Add a pickle and a cream soda and sit down at the metal table & chairs. Check out the old-fashioned check stubs...
