I don't think ANY mall should allow those young CHILDREN to be unsupervised. Where I live, Children under the age of 16 are NOT allowed in the mall without adult supervision, at any time, and I think it's a wonderful way to ensure the safety of our children.

hmmm. I think 10 and 11 is a bit young to be out at a shopping mall alone.

I would say it is acceptable for kids in Junior high school and above to go to the mall without their parents as long as they are with a group and can behave responsibly.

I think 10-11 is a little too young. 12-13 depends on the kid. Some kids are more mature and able at that age than others. I'd say that most kids at 13 would be ok, but it really depends on the individual.

i've never been to mall of america. but, i definitely would not let 10-13 year old kids go to the mall by themselves. i'd say a good age would be about 15-16 when they can actually drive themselves.
