I excercise regularly, and I try my best to drink a lot of water but it is hard to me to lose weight. Would it help if I became a semi-vegetarian, and only ate fish (for protien)?

As a happy vegetarian, I will of course say yes. But unbiasedly, eliminating red meat (poultry is a little healthier for you, with a lower fat content) is a very smart choice. I have a friend who became a vegetarian for a month, and he lost a good amount of weight, I think it was 4-7 pounds.

You could even take it farther than semi-vegetarian. Tofu is one of the greatest foods for a protein to fat ratio. Soy can give you a daily supply of protein with only a small fraction of the fat that is in meat.

You would definitely be making a smart choice and it is a little thing of advice I always try to hand out in weight-loss situations, but is rarely followed. Good luck!

no. lean meat has protein which is necessery for body to maintain muscles - they are the ones that burn calories.
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter your stats and it will tell you how many calories a day you need to maintain your weight. take 300-400calories off that number and that's how much you need to lose weight.
eat 5-6 small meals a day instead of 3 big ones.
5-8 servings of fruit and vegetables a day.
8 glasses of water a day.
4-6 times a week cardio work out for 30-50min plus light weight training.
no junk food, no sodas, no white flour (white bread, pasta, cookies, cakes etc)

No no, you see meat helps in weight loss. There is no point in really restricting it from your diet. You simply want to reduce your portions and choose healthier cooking methods!
