How can you know/see/tell if a ex-girlfriend wants you back?

my ex g/f acts just like this: If i walk by with my friends she says hi to my friends but then she stares at my in my eyes and when i look in her eyes then i feel safe and warm.

Who dumped who? Why? How soon is it after the breakup?

It is my feeling that regardless of if one party wants you back or not, you broke up for a reason. Has that issue been resolved?

If you broke up b/c of cheating, that person will still cheat. If you broke up b/c you didn't like long distance relationships--and you are still long distance--nothing has changed and you'll still fight about the LDR. If the issue that broke you apart hasn't been changed, than all you really have is the typical rebound relationship, coupled with loneliness, and buyer's remorse (or actually--returner's remorse as you regret that you broke up).

Don't take her back. Even if she wants you back. Nothing has changed.

You can't tell if she wants you back soon after a breakup--she's just emotional and going through the typical thoughts.
What if I made a mistake?
What if I never find someone ever again?
What if that was the best I'll ever have?
What if he was right and that when he said he'd only slept with her that one time, he really had only made that one mistake?
What if I'm ugly and fat and pathetic, and he is going to move on to someone gorgeous and better than me?

Ignore all that. She just needs a time period to get all this emotional crap out of her system.

If she's staring at you like that, to a girl that's an obvious sign, while as a typical guy you're not sure what it means. Girls are quicker to pick up on subtle signals than we are, and don't realize we don't have the same skills. By the way, every ex-girlfriend I've had at some point goes through wanting to get back together at some point, unless it ended nasty. Give her back a sign you're interested again (which I assume you are), and see what she does.

let her be the one to tell you that she want to get it back on with you. dont be stupid or weak. kid games are not for lovers. look forward and stop looking over your shoulder hoping and wishing. she might be playin on your emotions. if she is a straight up good girl man, then i would say give her the benefit of the doubt and go out and do some fun stuff together. if the fire is still burning then dont fan the flame, let it burn!!!! you will know by the way she will always stay in your eyesight.that will allow you to see, and that way you can tell. very elementary stuff. in any case be a man about it. when they want you back you can see it written all over their face man.

You could ask her. But only if you want her back. If it is just to boost your ego then leave her alone. But if you really want her tell her, let her know what you want and ask her if there is any chance that she feels the same and the you could start over.

depending if you talk to anyone who talks to them thats the only way cuz i would like to find out as well but some of her friends wont talk to me anymore cuz they are her best friends and that they are a married couple cuz couples only hang out with couples. seems like they people i want to hang out with don't want to hang out with a single guy anymore anyway.
