pure water - 1/2 oz per pound
so if you weighed 128 lbs
you would need to drink a half a gallon - 64 oz

when you are just 2% dehydrated - your brain starts to fizzle
and you can't 'think straight'

also is good to flush out the impurities

about 8 cups of water...

but drinking pop, alcohol and juice has a lot of calories, so don't drink too much of those.

and coffee and tea have a lot of caffeine and are diuretics, which make you pee a lot and lose water.

the best plan is to drink water instead of the others as much as possible

but don't worry yourself about sitting there and drinking 8 cups of water. you don't always need that much...but when you work out or sweat a lot, you need more

8 cups of water. It shouldn't be just 8 cups of liquid, because 8 cups of coffee or soda can actually dehydrate your body.
