It's a piano class. I am not good at piano whatsoever, and I pretty much got stuck in the class. This class is an hr and a half long, and I don't know anyone in it. All we do is PRACTICE the whole time, which gets boring. I have no intrest in learning piano at all. How can I make this class go by faster?
It's the first class of the morning!

Well, some ways that I passed time during my most awful, boring classes (these are pretty desperate, but I had some AWFUL courses):

1.) text messaging/playing games on my phone (you have to hide the cell phone pretty well, though, so it looks like you're studying a book or watching the teacher intently)

2.) Sleeping - you can achieve the "paying attention" look while dozing by propping your head up on your elbow and putting all the weight of your head on your hand.

3.) Write letters/notes to friends, grandparents (they might be glad to hear from you and send you a bit of dough too, as I've been shocked to learn)

4.) Eat and drag it out as long as you can (most classes, you would be in trouble if they caught you eating, so I would hide a little bag of M&M's in my pocket and eat them one piece at a time, staring at the clock and trying to make each little M&M last 30 seconds, or a minute, or whatever. It's weird but it kind of passes the time since everyone likes candy and it gives you something to focus on. It works well with M&M's, Cheezit crackers, Reese's Pieces or anything else that comes in lots of little pieces.

5.) Hide a magazine/comic book in between the sheets of notes; surprisingly, teachers didn't notice me do this, and it's the oldest trick in the book.

6.) If you have another class, like math, copy all the problems onto a sheet of paper and then leave room for yourself to solve them....... then solve the problems in class, and make it look like you're just taking notes or something. I would always do all my schoolwork in other classes and my entire senior year of high school I never had to do a single homework assignment at home; I'd write essays in the lab at lunch, do my math homework during history, etc.

I feel your pain! I hated piano, too. An hour and a half first thing in the morning's just horrible! I'd rather stick rusty needles in my eyes! Let's see...try a big cup of strong coffee before you go...time will fly...maybe your fingers will, too! Good luck!

Why do you go then if you hate piano class ?

It is a waste of time for everybody, tell the one who sends you to this class that you dont want to go there and why you dont want to go.

Talk to the teacher and tell her how you feel about the class. Maybe he or she will decide to do something different that will make you more interested.

do no longer seem on the clock each jiffy (or a minimum of attempt to no longer). attempt to look as in case you're (in part) involved, yet do no longer do something below your table that would draw interest to the instructor.
