The Holy Spirit is God.
Jesus referred to Him as a person.
"But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you." (John 14;26)
You remind me of some whom Paul met in Ephesus:

"While Apollos was at Corinth, Paul took the road through the interior and arrived at Ephesus. There he found some disciples and asked them, "Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?"
They answered, "No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit."
So Paul asked, "Then what baptism did you receive?"
"John's baptism," they replied.
Paul said, "John's baptism was a baptism of repentance. He told the people to believe in the one coming after him, that is, in Jesus." On hearing this, they were baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus. When Paul placed his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied."
(Acts 19:1-6)

Jesus said i must go away so i can send the comforter unto you, which is the Holy Spirit it will teach you, lead you, and guide you, in the things of God, People if you only knew what is in store in the near future you would find out and seek out God more than we do the power he wants to give us through the Holy Spirit is going to be unreal.

The Holy Spirit is God.
The mystery is that God is Three and yet One.
Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
They were all together in one place at Jesus' baptism, (Mark 1), and yet they all had different functions there.

He (The Holy Spirit) is True God-

The holy Spirit also testifies to us, for after saying:
"This is the covenant I will establish with them after those days, says the Lord: 'I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them upon their minds,'"
he also says: "Their sins and their evildoing I will remember no more."
Where there is forgiveness of these, there is no longer offering for sin.
Hebrews 10:15-18

All believers receive the Holy Spirit at salvation:

For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, slaves or free persons, and we were all given to drink of one Spirit. I Corinthians 12:13

Nowhere in the bible is there mention of Trinity. Holy spirit is God's active force the power of His will to get things done. A simplistist example is a telephone. You are not physically there on the other end with the person but he understands. Another: A pushbutton and electricity on a large machine. The operator is not personally mashing or folding material but he pushes the on button to get it down.

Jesus said "My Father is greater than I am." The holy spirit wasn't even mentioned there. People today believe this doctrine not because of any research in the Bible, but because they were told by clergy and parents, grandparents and just excepted it. It is from old pagan origin. Just another ploy by Satan to confuse truth. Ever heard of 3 card montie? Just keep trying to blur the lines so no one knows which is which.

yes the Holy Spirit is God well a part of him but not apart from Him. It is His Spirit that was sent to be with us to live within us and to help guide us, teach us and mold us.

Holy Spirit--"In Christianity, it is the third person of the Holy Trinity. Though references to the spirit of Yahweh (God) abound in the Old Testament, Christian teaching about the Holy Spirit is derived mainly from the Gospels. The Holy Spirit descended on Jesus at his baptism, and outpourings of the Spirit are mentioned in the Acts of the Apostles, in which healing, prophecy, exorcism, and speaking in tongues are associated with its activity. The Holy Spirit also came to the disciples during Pentecost. The definition of the Holy Spirit as a divine person equal in substance to the Father and the Son was made at the Council of Constantinople (AD 381)."

There is indeed a holy spirit, so warm and inviting and makes me feel like I can do anything. When the holy spirit fills me, I feel like I could talk to anyone (which has happened to me in the past, seeming like a dream of sorts) or take on the whole world if needed (which seems to also have happened in the past). Ahhhhh...............my memories (some a little fuzzy mind you) about the holy spirit.................Scotch.
