I am doing a project in religion class, and I need a bible verse from Luke.
Any suggestions are welcome.
If you know of any that would be meaningful to a christian trying to be in the world, but not of the world, that would be even better!

Luke’s style is more finished and classical than that of Matthew and Mark. There is less in it of the Hebrew idiom. He uses a few Latin words (Luk_12:6; Luk_7:41; Luk_8:30; Luk_11:33; Luk_19:20), but no Syriac or Hebrew words except sikera, an exciting drink of the nature of wine, but not made of grapes (from Heb. shakar, “he is intoxicated,” Lev_10:9), probably palm wine.

22 Then he said to his disciples: “On this account I say to you, Quit being anxious about your souls as to what you will eat or about your bodies as to what you will wear. 23 For the soul is worth more than food and the body than clothing. 24 Mark well that the ravens neither sow seed nor reap, and they have neither barn nor storehouse, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more worth are you than birds? 25 Who of you by being anxious can add a cubit to his life span? 26 If, therefore, you cannot do the least thing, why be anxious about the remaining things? 27 Mark well how the lilies grow; they neither toil nor spin; but I tell you, Not even Sol′o·mon in all his glory was arrayed as one of these. 28 If, now, God thus clothes the vegetation in the field that today exists and tomorrow is cast into an oven, how much rather will he clothe you, you with little faith! 29 So quit seeking what you might eat and what you might drink, and quit being in anxious suspense; 30 for all these are the things the nations of the world are eagerly pursuing, but your Father knows you need these things. 31 Nevertheless, seek continually his kingdom, and these things will be added to you.

The story of the prodigal son is in Luke. It is one of my favorites concerning forgiveness, family and the joy of returning home. We Catholics also rely heavily of Luke to support the concept of the Immaculate Conception of Mary. Luke is also one of the most common sources of info regarding the birth of Jesus.

In Luke there is an astounding thing that Jesus tells his followers! He actually orders us to break one of his father's commandments!!! Amazing!

Luke 19:27-28
27 But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them - bring them here and kill them in front of me.
28 After Jesus had said this, he went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem.

Luke 6
32 "If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even 'sinners' love those who love them.
33 And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even 'sinners' do that.
34 And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even 'sinners' lend to 'sinners,' expecting to be repaid in full.
35 But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.
36 Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

So it is in the world for Christians.

In Christianity, if some one sins against you, and he repents, you forgive him.
For some one in the world who has sinned against you, and you are offended, you get even.

Luke 17:10 So likewise you, when you have done all those things which you are commanded, say, "We are unprofitable servants. We have done what was our duty to do."

Luke 9:62 But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.”

Here is a thought-provoking one from Jesus:

Luke 14:26 -- If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters--yes, even his own life -- he cannot be my disciple.
