Let's see:
ONE: 'You shall have no other gods before Me.'
**I don't believe in God, but I also don't believe in any OTHER gods, so I guess it's not exactly a "no", there. Technically, I don't have any OTHER gods "before" that "God", either.

TWO: You shall not make for yourself any idol, nor bow down to it or worship it.
**I don't make myself idols. So I guess I obey this one.

THREE: 'You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain.'
** I don't have a "God", myself. I do occasionally cuss, but I don't really use the name of "God" to cuss. I'll usually use the "S" word.

FOUR: 'Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.'
** OK. Don't obey this one. The "Sabbath" day means nothing to me, because I don't believe in a deity.

FIVE: 'Honor your father and your mother.'
***Yes, absolutely I honor my father and mother.

SIX: 'You shall not murder.'
***Yes, I obey this one

SEVEN: 'You shall not commit adultery.'
***Yes, I obey this one.

EIGHT: 'You shall not steal.'
***Once, when I was about six, I stole a piece of candy at a fair. My Mom made me return it and apologize. I've never stolen anything since.

NINE: 'You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.'
***Haven't had a need to do anything like that.

TEN: 'You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's.'
*** Well, I guess I can't say I've never coveted anything. It's not like that's an emotion you can really control. Anyone who says they have never coveted anything is lying. I think what matters is how you behave in regards to that feeling. I have never done anything in response to that feeling that I would ever be ashamed of. I have never felt hate towards anyone who has something I might wish that I had, and I've never felt like I wanted to take that thing away from them.

There, that's my experience in obeying the 10 Commandments.

The ten commandments were good-sense rules to live be way before they were written down with credit given to the divine.

As a moral atheist you have a number of rights and responsibilities. These include (but are not limited to):

Have no gods.
Don't worship stuff.
Be polite.
Take a day off once in a while.
Be nice to folks.
Don't kill people.
Don't cheat on your significant other.
Don't steal stuff.
Don't lie about stuff.
Don't be greedy.

Remember, theists may condemn you for living by this code because you are doing it of your own free will instead of because you're afraid that if you don't a supreme being will set you on fire.

I follow an ethical code but obviously I have no interest in the ten commandments.

If they do, they broke the first one about putting no other gods before me. Atheists serve man. They do follow some of the Ten Commandments because they are in our laws. Thou shall not steal, kill, and false witness. A great many of our laws can be found in the Book of Leviticus in the Bible.

1. You shall have no other gods before Me
I have no need for god.

2. You shall not make for yourself an idol
If I have no need for a god why would I make an idol?

3. You shall not make wrongful use of the name of your God
If there is no god how could I misuse its name?

4. Remember the Sabbath and keep it holy.
Again why would I do this?

5. Honor your parents
My parents are okay but they’re human just like the rest of us.

6. You shall not murder
This is a good idea.

7. You shall not commit adultery
This one you can skip if you don’t get caught.

8. You shall not steal
This one isn’t bad.

9. You shall not bear false witness
Again not a bad idea.

10. You shall not covet
I don’t see what the fuss is about.

Three of them are a good idea.
Three of them don’t do much for me.
Four are totally pointless.

No. We do not care to worship your god. Only 30% of your commandments actually addresses how to treat other people. Atheists don't need a commandment to make us behave.

No they don't. The first commandment, You shall have no other Gods before Me is broken as they put their belief in science and their own knowledge (intelligence) ahead of God. The second commandment, You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain. I have seen many of the athiests, who are proud of their unbelief, on this site make very derogatory and nasty comments re God and Jesus as well as any who believe.

Probably not. I mean, take a look at commandment number 1.

I believe there are NO gods, therefore, I can't claim him as the ONLY god.
