I do!
Do you think your god would want people to be forced to do what's "right" or let people choose for themselves?
If you TRULY think gay marriage is wrong, don't you think your god will judge these "offenders" in the afterlife?
Is it your job to judge these people?
Is it hurting YOU if a gay couple were to get married?

The only people Jesus had a problem with were the pharisees, because they were hypocrites - he believed in love, and I think would be upset with people who try to stand in the way of love, whoever that love is between.
I believe the ones who will be judged the most harshly are those who try to stop love.

To answer your question, since Jesus was against homosexuality, of course Jesus would be against "gay marriage".

Gay marriage is a contradiction in terms. Marriage is defined as, and should remain defined as, a union between a MAN and a WOMAN. The primary intent of marriage is to provide a strong, stable environment for children. This is why the government and society encourage marriage by giving legal and economic incentives.

The argument by gays that not letting them get "married" is some form of discrimination is completely false. Any gay person has exactly the same right to get "married" as any straight person - like any straight person any gay male can choose the eligible female of his choice and marry her, as any gay woman can choose any eligible male of her choice and marry him. It's by trying to redefine marriage and erase the rule EVERYONE has to follow, that marriage is between opposite sexes, where the problem comes up. This is a problem created by gays and it's a farce.

You are so brainwashed! No, it's evil that "forces" people. God simply tells you what's right and wrong and expects you to do the right thing.

Yes, if you do the wrong thing, God will eventually judge you.

No, I don't judge gays, I have gays as friends and when they bring subjects like this up we discuss them as friends and don't turn to hate because we may hold different ideas. FYI I know gays who totally understand, AND AGREE, that marriage should NOT be extended to homosexual couples.

Finally, yes, it could hurt us all indirectly if gay marriage becomes the rule. Think about why.

You seem to be pretty judgmental, though. And very confused.

Try this thought experiment. Suppose, say, in 1800, on January 1st, everyone in the world woke up gay... how long would civilization as we know it have lasted.

And don't look now, but there are ongoing efforts to eliminate men. There have been numerous experiments who's goal is to show that women can reproduce artificially without any male contribution AND THOSE EXPERIMENTS SEEM TO BE WORKING.

I think people put too much stock in what one man thought over 2000 years ago. Furthermore what is this obsession with Jesus? You do remember that God said not to put ANYONE or thing above your love for him...it's a commandment remember? Shalt not worship false idols. Jesus had alot of great stuff to say, but I really doubt gay marriage was on his agenda. But the only time I ever really heard of him really freaking out was when people were selling things in the temple. That really ticked him off. I'm not saying he's a false idol or anything, but I think all the Jesus worshippers need to remember who made him.

...I don't know which Jesus you are speaking of, but the One I serve looked to the Old Testament as authoritative, and there we find this:
..."If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination." (Leviticus 20:13)
...And in the New Testament, we find this:
"Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived, neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God." (1 Corinthians 6:9-11).
...The Bible tells us that God the Father is the same today as He was yesterday. If God is the same today as He has been in the past, then this tells us that He is never going to change - either in His ways or in His personality!
...Interpretation - if God the Father is calling any type of homosexual activity an abomination in the Old Testament - then He will also be calling any type of homosexual activity occurring in the New Testament an abomination. God is not going to be changing His mind on this issue just because we are living in the New Testament and under a new and better covenant with Jesus.
...God calls us to stand for righteousness, not to promote perversion. It is an unhealthy lifestyle - two studies on the homosexual male said the average life span was 41 and 43 years - please explain how this beneficial to mankind to engage in behavior that will kill you early?
...It is not beneficial to society, since homosexuals do not keep to themselves...most often there are multiple partners...committed gay couples rarely exist...
...They have an agenda, and wish to force their agenda into government, they want to have children, they want to force employers to hire gays, and they want to make everyone else pay for it and pay for the results of this lifestyle.

I refuse to speculate as to what someone might have said, or might have thought 2,000 years ago. I will say that our government has it's nose in too much of it's private citizens' lives. Who gave the government the right to pass laws against the rights of it's citizens? Not me! There will always be differences of opinion when it comes to religion, or a lack there of I'm not gay, but I'm not arrogant enough to think I have the right to tell other people what they can or can't do in their own homes, or how they choose to live their lives. No matter what I believe or don't believe.

Do you think that God would want people to do the right thing? Would God want Hitler to do the right thing? Would he want Jeffery Dahmer to be forced to do what is "right?"

Is it your job to judge Hitler or Jeffery Dahmer? How about the pedophiles? What did they ever do to you?

Is it your job to judge your neighbor for turning up his radio to the max at midnight? Isn't that his right?

Are these things really hurting you?

What did Jesus say?: "It is written that a man shall leave His parents and find His women & they two shall become one flesh."

Also, Jesus said to the adulterous woman, "I don't condemn you. But go & sin no more.".

It is written that adultery, fornications & idolatry are sins/ iniquities (acts against Gods purpose).

If Jesus was truly the kind of person everyone says he was, than he wouldn't mind. If he truly loves all the people, than he doesn't care if they're gay or straight.
I would never judge gay people.

I think that little part of the bible was man made.....if we assume the bible was divinely inspired that is.

Think about the time it was written. Two gay people can not have children, thus the species loses a reproductive option. Given enough time and gay people, the writers could possibly have believed that the human race would be no more.

That is why i think it says god condemns gays. Not because he does, but because people wrote it that he did.

I have no idea why the country feels that if has the right to decide who gets married to who. if the church didn't want to marry people, that's fine, there are civil unions. But i don't believe that government officials have the right to decide who get married to who. I don't understand what the issue is. People say it is morally unjust, but its only unjust to them, everyone has their morals, and they don't need anyone else to them the what is right or wrong. What i people started saying men and women couldn't get married?

Why would you think He would be pro-gay when His Word clearly states that it is an abomination and that no participants will enter the kingdom of Heaven?

Read the book.
