Do what I just did...I filed back from 2001 to now. You will need to call the IRS and get your transcripts from the years you haven't filed. Then, once you get them, you can go online to file "past years' returns" or you can take those transcripts to a tax preparer if you don't care to do them yourself.

Don't worry, the IRS will work with you if you're calm & collected on the phone with them. Be nice, and ask any questions you may have. They were very helpful to me.

1. Get copies of the W-2s from your employer(s).

2. File your missing returns.
