Blame it all on the 'Fat Gene'!!! Otherwise stop eating so much and exercise more. there you go, simple isn't it.
Wow 7 thumbs down! you people really are morons aren't you.

Make a wall chart for yourself to monitor what you eat, your weekly weight and the exercise you take. Set mini-goals for yourself. Don't expect immediate results! Also, it isn't a good idea to loose all the weight at once.

Look at the nutrition labels on all your food packages (per 100 grammes). Be aware of carbohydrates of which are sugars. Also look at fats. The lowerer these sugars/fats are the better.

Try to use plain yogourt and low-fat milk. Eat vegetables, and fruit instead of that chocolate bar (I know you said not to say it but I didn't say "lots of"....!). Nuts and wholemeal brown bread with sliced banana are also a good snacks. These will provide you with more energy than sweets and you will be less hungry for longer. Plus you'll be doing your teeth a favour. Have two portions of grilled or tinned fish a week and stay off soft drinks completly. Use water or fruit juice instead.

Exercise every day, but give yourself a day off every now and then. Start off with short and easy sessions like walking, gardening or cycling on flat terrain. Build up the intensity and duration SLOWLY over the weeks. You will feel tired and drained at first . This is natural. Begin to push yourself after a few weeks. You won't be doing your self any harm. It's amazing how resiliant, robust and adaptable the human body is, esp at your age. Build yourself up to using a skipping rope, the trampoline, swimming, jogging and 1 hour cycles on hilly terrain.

The key is to have a balanced diet, avoiding saturated fats (e.g. chips, or anything deep fat fried), and getting plenty of exercise. Avoid crash diets at all costs. These are not good for your health. If you find the tummy rumbling before your next meal do something to take your mind off food, and drink water. By drinking water your brain will think that the stomach is being fed and give you that "full feeling", but the next mealtime will have arrived by the time the brain realises that it was tricked!! When it does finally come to mealtimes, a good point is to eat slowly. It takes a while for the brain to realise that enough has been eaten. If you "wolf down" that dinner you will tend to over eat. Get into the routine of eating at the same time every day; less chance of wanting snacks. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Try to eat some complex-carbohydrates, as these will fuel you up for the day.

The last and final thing you need is determination. Tell yourself you can do it, and be glad with what you've achieved. Tell yourself you will have bettered this by the following week (if only slightly...). An improvement is an improvement. Chin up & best of luck.

Some drinks for weight management: NO SODA! or limit to 1 every 2-3 days. Water, green tea (lipton makes some that's really good; mixed berry and citrus flavored), and soy products.

Only eat when you are truly hungry, and stop when you are full. If you eat a salad before your meal, that's supposed to help you not overeat at mealtimes. If you feel yourself getting the munchies, go for a walk around the neighborhood. That always helps me. Limit your junk food down also.

Going swimming might make you self-conscious, but exercising in water has 12 times the resistance has exercising on land does, so you will see faster results.

The trampoline idea is really good. If you have some friends over/brothers and sisters exercising won't feel like a chore. Also try stretching before you go to bed, or if you want to you can try pilates or yoga.

If you don't see results right away, don't worry about it. Whatever you do, just stick with your diet plan and trust me, the pounds will come off.

All scientific research shows that the faster you lose weight then the more likely you are to put it all back on again. Annoying but true. You're really best avoiding all the fad diets out there as they simply don't work in the long-term and only mess up the metabolism.

Firstly, Cut out on all 'white' foods and eat wholegrains instead such as wholemeal bread & pasta, brown rice and oats (porridge is a great way to start the day as it's really filling. Try it mixed with a chopped/mashed banana or some berry fruits. Beware some so-called healthy brand-name cereals as many of them are actually quite high in sugar with any vitamins added in artificially. Check the ingredients on the back of the packet; the less there are the healthier it is i.e. Shredded Wheat is literally just wholewheat).

Always make sure that you have 3 main meals everyday. It's also important to snack heathily and reguarly as it keeps your energy levels high and also means that you never go hungry. Things like fruit, nuts, seeds and veggie sticks. Some cereal bars are alright but make sure you read the back of the wrapper first as many are just as high in sugar as chocolate (Nutri-grain bars for example are quite bad. The Jordan brand ones are okay though).

Also cut out any junk like fizzy drinks and fried foods in particular because of their high saturated fat content. Cheddar cheese is also quite high in saturated fat but does contain some health benefits so should still be alright in moderation. You could treat yourself about once a week to something like grilled cheese on toast for example.

Joining a class through a local gym might help but you don't necessarily have to adopt a vigorous exercise programme down in order to help shift the pounds. Simply walking to places more often is a great way of keeping in shape (if you use public transport for example, try getting off a stop early) and going swimming a couple of times a week is really effective too. Dancing is also a brilliant form of exercise and it's fun!

Good Luck.

I don't think you are huge (check your body mass index at http://www.cdc.gov/nccdphp/dnpa/bmi/index.htm).

Stop your diet, it is not working. Exercise more, walk, run, work on the trampoline (actually a really great way to lose) every day. Cut out most if not all of the fast food, junk food, prepared food from your diet. Eat lean proteins, chicken, fish, lean beef, nuts and seeds, and yes, the dreaded fruits and vegetable. Eat four to five small meals every day, keeping your blood sugar levels steady promotes weight loss. Low-fat milk and yogurt are another great way to lose weight and provide calcium (you are still growing and all women need lots of calcium for bone health). Make yourself a smoothie for dessert or a snack.

In eight weeks you should look great.

First of all, you have to cut out any junk food. No choclate, sweets, cake, crisps, takeout, etc. If you're gonna drink pop or juice, make sure it is diet or sugar free but try to drink water if you can (2 litres a day is best).
Don't eat your food fried, if you have to though get whoever cooks it to use fry-light instead of cooking oils.
Eat brown bread instead of white and replace red meats with chicken or turkey. Salad is obviously good for dieting, try a pasta salad and use low fat coleslaw to add taste instead of high fat dressings. Snack on fruit when you're hungry and for breakfast you're best having a healthy cereal with skimmed or semi skimmed milk.
Watch your portion sizes, eat slowly and stop eating when you're full.
For exercise, walking or jogging is great (don't go out on your own for your safety), dance in your room or with some friends, go out on your bike (if you have one), swimming is great to take off inches and your trampoline is perfect to.

Don't take your weight too seriously, size 10 is not fat.
Once you get back from Florida, start allowing treat foods back into your diet occasionaly & keep active.

Enjoy your holiday!

First off, stop listening to what the entertainment/ media industries tell you is "beautiful" Beauty is much much more than appearance-- it includes character and integrity and ethics as well as physical attributes. You *are* beautiful. Stop putting yourself down and comparing yourself to the airbrushed images in the fashion magazines.

Second, If you decide to lose weight or to "get healthier", do it for yourself, not for your boyfriend or anyone else.

Third.. stop obsessing over being fat. 126lbs on a 5'1" girl isn't fat, it is healthy. The anorexic ideal that the media portrays as ideal is unrealistic, unhealthy, and honestly, unattractive. Who really wants to see a girl in a bikini and be able to count her ribs, and see the shape of what she had for lunch? Ugh.

wow 12 year old on a diet!
Theres your problem. well there are many factors to what you want to do. Main one is your daily intake or what it is your eating. to be putting on weight that quick you must be doing alot wrong.. Basically cut out all fatty foods, cheese milk, breads, sweets! chocolate, sugar... Eat a healthy balanced diet consisting of fibres carbs little fat proteins. Have a nice breakfast say bowl of cereal muesli or corn flakes with a sandwich & an apple or orange say between 6am and 9am (before school) take an apple or some fruit you like to school eat it an hour before lunch so that your not starving at lunch to reduce the hunger you wont eat so much.. schools should really give healthy foods for lunch but if you have a selection, choose wisely! when you get home, dont go straight to the fridge, if you do once again eat something good.. Try to keep main meals before 6pm and try to opt for more proteins like fish chicken tuna salads and dont eat carbs like crisps after 6pm. try to keep meals small and often, main meal should be brekfast!
Think like this
breakfast of a king,
lunch of a prince and dinner of a porper. Try to do more with your trampolene, start timing yourself giving yourself targets. Drink PLENTY of water pint in the morning, throughout the day and before bed aswell... the weight will fall off you... once at your right weight (check with GP what oit should be for your build) then just follow a nice routine. plenty of water! and excercise every day at least 30 mins, try to refrain from doing weights but more cardio, walking jogging swimming etc good luck :)
body mass index is not 100% correct, im 15 stone 5 foot 9 and i should be 12½ stone? BMI says im morbidly obese a BMI of 33!!!. Dr adam carey the bloke off of celebrity fat club tested me, i had a fat content of 21 which is just outside of OK. your young..

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter your stats and it will tell you how many calories a day you need to maintain your weight. take 300-400calories off that number and that's how much you need to lose weight.
eat 5-6 small meals a day instead of 3 big ones.
5-8 servings of fruit and vegetables a day.
8 glasses of water a day.
4-6 times a week cardio work out for 30-50min plus light weight training.
no junk food, no sodas, no white flour (white bread, pasta, cookies, cakes etc)

How about walking briskly for 30 minutes a day? If you bring along your iPod or a CD player, it will help pass the time.

If you play video games, I'd pack away all of the games except DDR. If you have a Wii, the sports games will give you a good workout.

Talk to whoever does the shopping and see if they can get rid of the junk food.

Good luck!!!
