I have to choose one. Ive done the south beach. I was wondering cause on W.W, the only thing you have to keep track of is the points you have totaled in the day. The thing that gets to me is you can eat a chocolate bar witch is , let say 4 points and still be o.k. I dont see the point of being on a diet while still eating a chocolate and carbohydrates.

Oh South Beach Diet you do eat carbohydrates. On phase one you don't except for vegetables to cut the sugar cravings...you stay on this phase for 2 weeks. You also eat healthy fats (avacado, olive oil, flax seed, etc..) The second phase you slowly add in good carbs..fruit, oatmeal, whole grain stuff. You are also allowed to have dark chocolate in small amounts. Your body needs protein, carbohydrates, as well as fat to be healthy.

On Weight Watchers..they have 2 plans...one is similar to South Beach phase 2. The other one is a points based plan..you eat what you want as long as you keep within the points range. You are also allowed on both plans room for treats. Weight watchers does have recommendations as how much veggies, fruit, water, healthy oils, etc..you should be getting everyday..I hope this helps.

I love Weight Watchers and you don't have to go to meetings. you can do it all online. I lost 20 pounds with them. South Beach was way too restricting for me. With WW you can still eat what you like as long as in moderation and you count it! You should check it out.. i think right now they have try it for a month free. Good luck!
(you still can use common sense and still cut back on the sugar/carbs they do have guidelines they want you to follow like fruits/veggies/etc.) : )

I have been thinking of the South Beach Diet because I do not like going somewhere and being weighed by strangers-as you do in weightwatchers.

I think overall calories is more important than carbs.
