+ Only eat when you're hungry.
+ Walk about 30 mins-45 mins each day, walking fast for 2 mins and then walking moderate for 2 mins then repeating
+ Jogging for 15-30 mins in the park every 2 days
+ Doing yoga 2-3 times a week
+ Swimming 4-5 days a week
+ Walking your dog [if you have one]..
+ Do 10-20 sit ups every day
+ Get 1litre water bottle and fill it HALF WAY with water, and put your arm straight down so it's beside your waist. Then Bring it up like you would with a weight, then bring it down. Do this 15 times on each arm twice a day!!
+ I also used to do Jump Rope it burns about 400 calories in 10-40 minutes and is really good for strengthening your legs!
+ Ride your bike to&from work [if you go to work]
+ Do Pilates. Lie down on the ground facing a wall. Lift your leg up [make sure it's straight] move it high up against the wall until you feel a slight stretch [DON'T do it too high otherwise you'll cause injury] hold for 4-5 seconds and do the same with the other foot. Repeat 5 times, twice a day
+ Eat healthily. If you do all these exercises then munch on bars of chocolate or McDonald's, you'll never succeed. Allow yourself one small bar of chocolate every Sunday, after Sunday Lunch and don't give into temptation!
* Gradually build up though, don't do everything I listed here all at once because you'll do yourself injury.. And all this does pay off because I was 5'6 and 160lbs once and I gradually went down to 122lbs (over a period of 3-4 years), and I didn't even restrict any foods I just did all this exercise and didn't do any diets. I don't eat McDonald's or fish and chips or any other fast food, just healthy food and I only eat spicy foods ocasionally

You could try different eating programs (weight watchers, la weight loss, etc). The main thing to do is to eat three small meals a day and have three healthy snacks in between. Always eat breakfast and choose healthier versions of the foods you cannot do without. Leaner meats like chicken and turkey are better than red meat but if you must have the red meat choice the leaner ones with less fat, especially hamburger meat. Try eating meals from stratch instead of processed quick meals.
It depends on your body on how well you will loose weight, and ultimately up to you. For the longest time I had trouble loosing weight just walking everyday no matter how far so I finally had to start heading to the gym every single day. For a while I was loosing with burning 500 calories and then it quit working so I had to burn at least 600-800 to continue to loose. I work out for an hour and watch what I eat but I believe that sometimes a person can only loose so much weight before they have to take drastic measures due to genetics and such.
It also depends on muscle mass, toning, etc. so even though you may not actually loose the pounds, you could be doing something better. Just keep in mind that 3,500 calories is approximately equal to 1 lb of fat burned. So for 7 days you need to burn 500 calories, in 5 days you need to burn 700 calories etc.
If you haven't been exercising remember to take it easy at first, at least that's what your supposed to do. I on the other hand listen to what my body tells me, you know your body the best and know what you can and can't handle. Other than all that, just remember that your workout routine will become easier the more you do it and if you quit loosing after a while then you might have to vary the workout. Good luck!

I am working on losing weight right now. I have started with Atkins, which seems to be doing well. I have incorporated 45 minutes of cardio a day into my routine. That was the hardest part. As you know, nothing is easy. It was easy or quick gaining 50 pounds, and it won't be easy or quick losing 50 pounds. Go to your doctor and ask for at 1200-1400 calorie diet plan or create your own. Get the physical activity in there, that's the only sure fire way to see a change quickly. To lose 50 pounds might take you 4 - 10 months. Good luck.

There is no "easy" way to lose 50lbs. First off, get all of the junk food out of your meals. No chips, cookies, candy, etc. Most people lose weight by just doing that. Also try not to eat out. I know that this is hard for some people but quit fast food!!!!!!!!! That stuff is PACKED with calories and fat and not nutritional benefits. Fruits and vegetables are your best friends. You'd be surprised how full some fruit will make you feel. When your craving something sweet, have a 100calorie pack. There are oreo and chips ahoy cookie flavors. Also, when possible in your busy schedule (a weekend for example), EXCERCISE. Any kind of excersice, just do it, make it fun. Work out with a friend. The most important part of this lifestyle change is to stick with it! Dont give up, you can do it! Some people find that keeping a food journal helps. Also, check out this link:

it is healthy to lose 1-2lbs a week so 50lbs you could lose in about 4-10 months.
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter your stats and it will tell you how many calories a day you need to maintain your weight. take 300-400calories off that number and that's how much you need to lose weight.
eat 5-6 small meals a day instead of 3 big ones.
5-8 servings of fruit and vegetables a day.
8 glasses of water a day.
4-6 times a week cardio work out for 30-50min plus light weight training.
no junk food, no sodas, no white flour (white bread, pasta, cookies, cakes etc)

If it were EASY everyone would do it. It will take dedication and work. Change your eating habits, exercise ( most of us work every day) so using work as an excuse not to exercise a few days a week wont help you loose weight. Aerobic exercise for at least 30 minutes 3 to 4 times a week will increase your metabolism and help you begin your journey. Watch what you eat and use common sense.

You really are not going to be able to lose 50 pounds "easily" and do it in a healthy way that you can maintain. It is going to take work including improving eating habits and exercising. And if you lose at a healthy rate of 1-2 lbs a week, then it will take several months.
