Like the other posters said, department stores are a little more lenient when a score is in that range. Just make sure that you've cleaned up delinquencies, and haven't went on an application spree, which would create an inquiry each time you apply, which lowers your score 2-3 points on the average. If you have a major credit card that's in good standing, do some research and see which department stores offer "instant credit". How that works they base it off your credit card and if it's been and still is in good standing, they'll extend based off your history with your credit card. It's a stretch, but that's another option that you can try.

If you are on the low side, why do you want a dept store card? They have the highest rates. If you are trying to build your credit, get a major company card, and make sure you keep paying it off.
The store itself is not going to know what score you need. There are a few factors that go into it - like, do you own your own home, are the utilities in your name, etc.

Department store credit standards tend to be more lenient than regular credit cards. I think your scores are good enough for a card. Just make sure that your delinquencies are cleaned up - especially if they were from previous department stores!
:-) Good luck.

I would think atleast around 620. Have you tried applying for one yet? One suggestion would be to call their customer service dept and ask them if they can tell you what kind of score they look for (or qualifications) before applying for the card.

do no longer be conscious for a dept save credit card. it is going to basically convey your credit down. you may desire to be conscious for a considerable credit card with Visa or credit card. Dept save credit enjoying cards are not as very prevalent and that they've an inclination to have decrease limits. decrease limits can at as quickly as bring about maxed out credit enjoying cards which ends up in decrease credit rankings.

You might be able to get one now even though you will get extremely high IR. Work on getting your score over 700.
