My dog loves toys but destroys them the same day he gets them. What are some toys that last a while??

Plus what bones are okay for dogs to chew on? He goes through them pretty quick and I want to make sure rawhide bones aren't going to hurt him.

Get Kongs and stuff them with treats. I've got power chewers and they have yet to destroy a Kong. Also try a Buster Cube. You feel these small treats and the dog has to roll it around to get them out. My dogs love theirs.

Get rid of the rawhide. These aren't very digestable, and run a good risk of causing an intestinal blockage. They also leave a nasty film on the dogs teeth as well. Instead, try Bully Sticks. These are digestable and good for teeth.

You can also get beef femurs from a butcher. Give these raw. Never give cooked bones as they run a high risk of splintering. Raw bones don't.

Kongs (rubber chew toys found in most pet stores) will last a long time. If your dog is an especially vigorous chewer, then you'll probably want to get a black Kong, because those are stronger. You should probably just see what it says on the label of rawhide bones, but if you're still unsure, then take the rawhide chew away when he starts to actually eat it.

My dogs do the same thing, we constantly have stuffing all over the house. I have found some toys have 'chew meters' on them. The strongest ones usually last a few extra days...

Alot of people have said not to give bones to dogs, but I still do. I don't use Nyla bones anymore though! One dog would chew off big pieces of those and had to have them removed! I stick with raw-hide and they love them.

there are alot of toys we give my dog a rubber hard ball that look like a globe and it's only about 8 $ and if he ruins it just take it back and they will give you full refund it's a toy were you ruin it the fix for you like refund or new ball.

don't give your dog a rawhide it will kill him and no greenies it's has so much acid it will kill your dog... i give my dog the organic treats from trader Joe's because organic wont hurt him and it doesn't have any acid or something that will hurt him and there only $6 it comes in a box with dogs on it it will say trader Joe's treats ..... i hope this works ..good luck and p.s. tennis balls are good to !!!!!!!

i understand those who use the plastic cola bottles for toys. My canines do not in a lot of circumstances get a lot contained in the way of non-classic toys, as they're to damaging, and LOVE the ball! As for treats--we use such truly some diverse issues! One sturdy one is dehydrated sweet potatoes. also, we've used banana for one canines. We do agility, and infrequently get stuck at a coach with few or no treats. we've been common to apply some thing the canines can eat wisely!

Merrick "Flossie's" are my dogs' favorite chewy bone. I have small dogs & give them the 6-8" spiral flossie. I haven't met a dog yet that doesn't like them. They are expensive, however, so I only give them when we travel in the car on long trips & occasionally at home as a special treat. I have found them at our local independent dog store or on Ebay.

black kongs and you can also stuff it with treats and things to keep him occupied for longer so hopefully he wont chew anywhere else.

as for bones get him a proper bone from your local butcher (usually a beef bone, NEVER chicken) my dog loves these and they are very good for dogs. my dog spends hours with a real bone and its great for his teeth.
