Yes, our life here is a boot camp for the next life. Christ told us that we would suffer in this world:

Joh 16:33 I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.

Yes! And in the space of eternity, this life is like a blip on a radar screen. A mist, that is here one second and gone the next. But it's a very important second, because this is when a person decides where they will spend the rest of eternity, and also the only chance they have to help those they love make their choice for eternity.

Yes of course! And some atheists are saying that even in hell, at least they will have lived life to the "fullest". They don't realize that life really starts after death. Life on earth is just a glimpse of eternity.

And by the way, life as a Christian on earth is very, very far from wasted... quite the contrary actually.

There isn't an after-life. It is a lie. A carrot-on-a-stick for the gullible.
This is the only life that you will get. Use it to the full.
Reality just doesn't come much harsher.
All religions are fake. All gods are imaginary, this current crop being just as fictitious as all those that preceded them.
This is really not too difficult to understand, is it?
Why elect to live in a fantasy rather than reality. Are you really that weak?

Yes, our life on earth is just a prelude to eternal life.

Good question. I want to know that if there is eternal life after death, then does that mean each time a human infant is born a totally new "spirit" is created? It's like we're Everlasting Gobstoppers. We can be created but we can't be destroyed.

Yes, I think 'prelude' is a very good way of expressing it.

That's what I've always called it - a dress rehearsal for eternal life.
