I just had breast reduction surgery three days again. The pain meds my doctor gave me don't work very well. Can I take Nurofen Plus for the pain instead?

Congratulations, I had breast reduction about 7 years ago and it was the best thing I have ever done for myself. Honestly, I found that simply applying ice packs constantly helped more than anything. I was not in a lot of pain but I was very uncomfortable and the ice packs helped with the swelling and helped numb the area. If you find that this does not help, call your surgeon for some advice. I don't know what Nurofen Plus is so I will not suggest it. Best wishes for a rapid recovery and enjoy the new you!

You really need to be asking your plastic surgeon any questions you may have, since different plastic surgeons have a little bit different ways of treating you after surgery.

You NEED to ask your doctor this, and not people on YA!.

i didn't take much of any pain meds after my reduction b/c i didn't like how constipated it made me. (sorry if that's TMI)

anyway...it's monday afternoon...call your dr and ask him/her if this nurofen is ok to take. it probably is, but you just had all kinds of drugs in your body from the surgery, so i'd check to be sure.

take care.
