I have never claimed this loss before. Can I claim it now in this year's (2006) tax return?? Thanks !!

No, you'll have to amend your 2003 return to claim the loss. You have until tomorrow at midnight to have that in the mail, by the way as that's the drop-dead date for tax year 2003 refunds. No extensions are possible.

No. You would had to have claimed it in 2003. What you need to do is file a 1040X for 2003, but you would need to file that today, because you only have 3 years to file a tax return for a refund, and that would include an amended tax return. It is possible though that you would not have used it on your 2003 return, but would have a capital loss carryforward, and possibly used it in a subsequent year. But fill out that 1040X today.

Probably not. 3 years has passed, unless you can get an ammended 2003 postmarked by tomorrow (extention won't help) by Midnight... Did you do a loss carry forward? And a capital loss must first be netted against a Capital gain.
Not enough info to really give you an answer. Call a CPA.
