The side effects of birth control are VERY VERY minimal, an in fact for most women they get more GOOD side effects than bad-- it shortens yoru period, gives you less cramps, regulates your cycle, can give you clearer skin, etc.

There is also a "72 hour pill" for directly after sex but its more of an 'emergency' thing as its a much higher dosage than birth control with more side effects, and you cant just go run and get it every time you have sex-- it requires paperwork at the pharmecy.

The best way to avoid pregnancy at this point is to take the morning after pill. If taken within 24 hours after unprotected sex, it will actually prevent any fertilized egg from implanting into the uterus, therefore preventing pregnancy from occuring at all.

But, it has to be taken immediately! You can't take it if it's been more than a day or two. You can get it from a pharmacy in most states.

Personally, I think it's borderline abortion, but it's better (in my opinion) that having an abortion later on. It's not actually a fetus yet.

Good luck!

Nope, none other the day after pill or 72 hour pill or whatever. Geez, why do people constantly not act responsibly... sex is great, sex is fun.... but take care when you have sex. Use protection always.

I assume you mean ejaculate, you can try the morning after pill if it has been less then 72 hours. The morning after pill is NOT a form of birth control.

Next time wrap it up, even pre-ejacualate contains sperm.
