I'n having outpatient surgery on Wed for a couple of lumps on my anterior (inside) forearms. On is hard and hurt a little when pushed on, the other I didn't even know was there til i went to the dr about the other one. They think they're lipomas (fatty tissue build up). My problem is that they are only going to use a local anesthetic to remove them and I'm not sure if they are taking out the whole things or just a piece. My mom scared me when she said, "they're only using a local. They don't know you very well. Those are awful deep." Now I'm worried I'll be in more pain than I originally thought. Especially if they take out the whole thing. Help please!!!! And does anyone know what causes lipomas if that's what it is?

I just called dr and they said they are removing the whole thing on both arms. The one on my right arm, which is the one I write with, is the deep one. I guess I just don't want it to hurt afterwards, and have a big old hole in my arm. I got 2 kids I can't be out of comission as far as taking care of my 7m old son and 4y old daughter goes.
