A very prominent JW (one listed on the R&S top ten) gave the following explanation for one of my questions about JWs:

"Jehovah's Witnesses themselves refer to the "evil slave class" as those who separate from the true Christian congregation AFTER they receive the commission to "enter into the joy of their master", or after the beginning of the "Lord's day".

Jehovah's Witnesses have consistently refused to identify these "evil slave class" religions by name, just as Jehovah has identified Satan by title rather than by actual personal name (Satan="Resister", and Devil="Slanderer")."

Does this make you slightly uneasy? This is just one example of programmed behavior.

Or how about this response from another JW to a similar "JW offshoot group" question:

"what is up with you and your bizarre questions......and where are you getting this information cuz its all false...just letting ya know"

This comment was made after I composed a documented list (from Wikipedia, all sources cited) of currently-registered JW offshoot groups.

star: you're fitting right into the profile again; NO, I wasn't ever a JW. I told you that I studied with some JWs for several months to learn about your beliefs. When you post things like that, misrepresenting things that people say, you further promote people's perception that you follow programmed behavior.

They believe they are the only true religion

Of course, so do a bunch of other sects

Other than annoyance, JW's are pretty harmless, UNLESS you get involved with them

If you knew anythign about witnesses you would knwo the answer, but instead you fear them so much that you have to keep making these things up, like you phoney War Bond story.

Anyone who is so poorly knowledgeable about WWI War Bonds cannot be believed about anything else he says about the witnesses.

Your claim that Rutherford bought War Bond to finance the society is laughable beyond the extreme and a slap in the face of those who live and serve back then.

When you buy War Bonds, the money goes to the War effort, not to a corporation. Years later, you get the money back, plus some interest.

Now I guess you can change your claim and say he sold phony war bonds, which I suspect is what you have been trying to claim. If that was your intent, you need to do a better job at knowing what you're talking about.

The evil slave is referred to in the Bible.

Jesus prophesied: “But if that evil slave should say in his heart, ‘My master is delaying,’ and should start to beat his fellow slaves and should eat and drink with the confirmed drunkards, the master of that slave will come on a day that he does not expect and in an hour that he does not know, and will punish him with the greatest severity and will assign him his part with the hypocrites. There is where his weeping and the gnashing of his teeth will be.” (Matt. 24:48-51)

Just as the faithful and discreet slave in the same illustration represents a group of people, the evil slave represents a group as well. How is that disturbing?

Additional Details: The Internet makes it possible for anyone to hide what they are. How can you be certain a Witness answered your question?

No. For one thing, neither time do I see them say that they are Witnesses. As for the one asking where you got your info, what is wrong with that?? Wikipedia, can be very helpful, However, it is a group opinion project. I often see where people misslabel episodes of TV shows. Something easy to confirm, how much greater are the chances of accidentaly posting the wrong information on religions? So if the answerer said you are wrong, all the person is saying is the information you got was wrong.

Every "salvation" denomination that I have encountered has told me that they are the ones who are favoured by God. I have had many of them dismiss each other (even though they all claim to be right). I had a great aunt who was JW, and she and her family managed to split the family because of their arrogant insistence. I had another great aunt who was Pentecostal and she was much easier to be around, but she still insisted that her religion was the "right one". Thankfully, there was never a family occasion when those two great aunts were in the same room! So, as for the "evil slave class", it doesn't surprise me. Once a person leaves a church, they are usually cut off, unless they "repent" and return.

Regardless of how factual it is. It is a very close minded opinion.

I'll use something else to illustrate what I mean.
There is obviously a right and wrong side to killing. The justified and the unjustified. Regardless of the arguments there is a "true right" if you will that killing is wrong.

But If I say killing is wrong because gay people are stupid, that just doesn't make any sense on either account. So someone can be on the right side of something, yet not have a clue as to why they are on that side.

No as for the mans response he only refers to one aspect of JW and doesn't look at the whole picture. Just like me as a gnostic am ridiculed by my fellow christians.

When it comes to religion the true right is this
"God does not care how you come to him, as long as you come to him, don't find religion, find God."

Then I must be part of the "evil slave class", being a former JW. During the time I spent there, I learned that if someone is "disfellowshipped, we shouldn't talk to them, anywhere we should see them, "they say the "devil got to them, they are evil, and might corrupt us.
I was not disfellowshipped, I divorced them you could say.
But I imagine they don't want thier people talking to the ones who have "escaped, for fear thier eyes might be opened.
So they call them evil. You know, like when they tell you to not read any other literature but thier own, or don't read certain books? What are they so afraid of anyway? That thier flocks might scatter?

What is programmed about it? It is simply reality.

Those who oppose Jehovah's Witnesses are of the Evil Slave Class. That is the way that it is, deal with it.

ok, im kindof concerned about your obsesion with JW's, every question i have heard from you has been mainly about JW's, i dont think you are mentally stable to be a leader in the Penguin Army, you have been demoted to "Christian Suicide Bomber".

you have served the PA well soldier, but it is time to serve the front lines.

That's what I love about you religious types. Always pointing fingers, putting down other religions, or trying to change people. Mind your own business and I'll bet you will be happier.

Good luck.
