There is no question this horrible, horrible crime was committed with an automatic weapon. I am for gun control, but I understand that so-called "sportsmen" have the right to have rifles for hunting - I have no problem with that. But there is absolutely no need for a private citizen to have a machine gun. Whackos like the guy at VT will easily mow down dozens of people. We must control sales of guns at gunshows as well as pawn shops and legitimate gun shops. This is ridiculous.

You don't find this kind of mass gun murders in countries with gun laws. Citizens of the U.S. have the right to guns WITH CONTROL! Nothing in the Second Amendment says let every Tom, Dick and Whacko have gun!

I dont think tougher gun laws will do the trick. People will still find a way to get guns.

Honestly, and I am a liberal democrat, don't think that gun control had much to do with the school shooting. It was at a University where students are over 18, the majority have no criminal record, and most are highly educated.

What we need to do is to teach kids how to handle adversity, and that losing a game or getting a bad grade is not the end of the world. What we need to do is to teach kids that it's not how many times you get knocked down that's important - it's how many times you get back up.

Guns don't kill people

People kill people

Why not make the bullets more expensive?

If a single bullet cost $5,000 dollars, people would think harder about the cost of shooting people!

I think that the murderer is responsible, not the gun.
