I would take a look at other door colours on your street and take that into consideration!! I've seen streets where the doors are all very similar and then you get one house that has a door that just does not fit in with the colour scheme of the other doors! And it just makes the house look out of place!! If people have all different colour doors on your street, don't worry too much about what colour to go for!! Though maybe black would be a good idea because it is quite a neutral colour! As long as the house looks like it is well kept from the outside I think that is more important than the actual colour!!

Britsh Racing Green or a similar dark green. It blends perfectly with the 'outdoors', doesnt 'glare' out at passersby, looks very smart, but doesnt show the dirt as easily as other colours & makes the perfect enterance from the 'nature' of outside to the welcoming clean, safe & cosy inside! Hope you get the asking price & sell quickly! DO take the time to do a proper paint job on your front door-runs& brush marks are a definate no, no! Though remember, many future purchasers will decide to change it, so dont bust a gut, just neat, fresh smooth & clean!

first impressions are very important so make sure the front is spotless and paint your door in a colour that looks very smart and expensive and rich like navy blue or racing car green or a very rich red, a colour that will stand out but won't be tacky.

If you really want to WOW a potential buyer, take the extra time and effort to give your front door a superior paint job. This will set you door apart in a more dramatic way than the specific color choice. Fine Paints of Europe sells front "Dutch" door paint kits that will have your door looking like the entry to a European estate.

As far as color selection, please, please , please paint it a color different from your trim, siding, and shutter color. The front door should be marked special with a color to itself. You can play around with color schemes on the Benjamin Moore website's Personal Color Viewer

Good luck!

timber stain isn't undesirable and uncomplicated to maintain even though eliminate the brass result letterbox. Get actual brass. different than that follow the classics, black and deep or military blue for older properties, white for contemporary.
