Ephesians 3:15 ..to whom every FAMILY IN HEAVEN, AND on earth owes its name.
So there are families in heaven.
The angels forsook their own place to come to earth, to take human wives and father children, giants, Nephilim. Genesis 6:1-4. Jude 6.
So male angels can procreate. Common sense says they left their angel wives, and God's purpose for them in Heaven.
Jesus is God's Son. (Male)
Luke20:34-38 ....
This means that people, the chosen ones, (the elect, the anointed, the holy ones, blessed ones, chosen angels), who get resurrected from the dead are not as humans who get married. They are immortal spirits, ( like angels only angels are NOT immortal), the chosen ones, who will materialize to rule the new earth as the 'new heavens' with Jesus. 2Peter 3:13,5. Daniel 2:44, Rev. 21:1-4
They are like angels, whom (I Believe) get married as angels, plus they cannot die anymore, meaning these 'chosen ones' are immortal; (1Cor.15:52-54).
Isaiah 65:17-25..shows the 'chosen ones' will...23) They will not toil for nothing, nor will they bring to BIRTH for disturbance, because they are the OFFSPRING made up of the 'blessed ones' of YHWH, and their DESCENDANTS with them.
``````````````````
Luke 20:37 But that the dead are raised up even Moses disclosed.~~~~~~This is talking about the resurrection of mankind in general.
This raises more questions. So apparently this is all the information God wants us to have now.
Angels are sexless:
Mat 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven.
Since they were observers at the creation of the world angels are spirit beings:
Job 38:7 when the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
The Bible does not necessarily supports the gender of angels being male or female. Whenever gender is “assigned” to an angel in Scripture, it is male (Genesis 19:10,12; Revelation 7:2; 8:3; 10:7). This does not indicate that angels are male though. Matthew 22:30 is probably indicating that angels are “sexless.”
About the closest you can get is Matthew 20:30: "For in the resurrection they (humans) neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven. " It would indicate that the angles do not procreate or have sexual activity with each other. So what purpose would be served by making some of them male and others female.
I couldn't find any, but I found plenty that said they were male. Like the two angels who came to Lot at Sodom and Gamorrha. They spent the night and all the homosexual men in town wanted Lot to bring them out so the could have there way with them. Many angels that came in dreams where called "he or him" But my favorite is in Genisi 6 1-2 when the are called sons of God.
When men began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them, 2 the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose.
3 Then the Lord said, "My Spirit will not contend with man forever, for he is mortal; his days will be a hundred and twenty years."
4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days--and also afterward--when the sons of God went to the daughters of men and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown. 5 The Lord saw how great man's wickedness
But who doesn't like a hero?
If you would read the whole quote it is pretty self explanatory which means you got this from a talking point website as a way to attack people who believe the bible. From the answers I've seen so far no one else has ever read it either. Gal 3:26-29 You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. Do you understand now or was that all Greek to you?
I cannot of course.
But these things called angels are quite poorly described in the Bible. In fact I don't know that they are even mentioned in Genesis and the creation of the world.
I remember as a kid wondering that if God had these beautiful angels made in his own image, dutiful and holy, what did he need people for?
And the Nuns used to tell me I had a "guardian angel". I assume they were telling the truth. Where are guardian angels mentioned in the Bible?
The whole angel thing is quite puzzling and I doubt any Christian (I'm an atheist BTW) will be able to shed any light on their sex nature or very much else about them.
Angles are not Physical beings like we are, they are spirits created by God (Psalm104:4; Hebrews 1:4) They did take on physical human-like forms but that was just so they could interact with us. (Luke 24:39)
By the way there is no controversy about angels in the Christian faith or the Bible. There is controversy when people begin to worship them instead of Christ. Angels were created as servants just like we were. While their role is different, they are no more important to God than we are.
This one may not be the exact one you were looking for, but it was the first one that came to mind:
If angels do not procreate, why would they need a gender? In a similar manner, God always refers to Himself in masculine language. God is neither male or female, however. He just uses masculine language because it more adequately describes who He is and what He does. If angels do have a gender, Scripture would indicate that they are predominately or universally male. It is more likely that angels are genderless, just as God is, and that masculine language is just used to describe them and their role in serving God.
