I've heard that there were no earthquakes, storms, etc. before Adam and Eve sinned. Why did this happen?

God's perfect creation began to decay and corrupt with the entrance of sin in the world.

In the original creation, animals ate plants, the first man and woman were vegetarians. After sin, animals became predators, including mankind. Nature began to decay.

The land of Canaan was full of sin, idolatries, sexual & the worst sin of sacrificing children through the fire to devils. It is written that the earth itself vomited them out. I believe this is a reference, that when things get too imbalanced that natural disasters happen.

Before the flood things got sooo bad in rebelling against God, God repented He made Creation. So, God flooded the earth. So, God gave the rainbow promising to not destroy all breathing creation any more. So, instead, when the Tower of Babylon happened, God divided the people, languages & lands. And God intervened in Sodom & Ghomorah also, when things got sooo bad, they even wanted to have sex with the Angels & it was the law to initiate sexually anyone who came into the city. (The legal system was at the root of the problem.) So, the LORD God fried Sodom & Ghomorah with burning balls from heaven.

When Adam and Eve rebelled against God they effectly pulled away from his rulership and protection.

Life as we experience it now is not what God intended. God allowed the rebellion to unfold to prove that it would not work.

God's Kingdom will soon take control over earth and remove all opposing sovereignties. (Daniel 2:44) Only righteous and obedient humans will live under that rulership and they will have God's complete protection. (Ps 37:10,11,29; Re 21:1-8) Life for them will be just as God purposed from the begining of creation. At that time there needn't be any harm from natural disasters, either God will prevent them or give advance warning of them.

I believe the concept goes something like this:

When Adam and Eve fell into a mortal state, subjuct to sickness and all that, so did the earth. I'm not really the technicalities of "how" one would cause the other - I expect the purpose had something to do with us needing the experience and trials brought on by natural disasters.

When the first two people sinned and rebelled they in effect said “we are our own rulers now”. So God removed his protective powers from them.

Granted there were and are many who want to get close to him. So he made a way for us to still live as Adam and Eve did through Jesus Christ.

Since the disobedience of Adam and Eve God cursed the word with sin. Basically saying " You want to be disobedient and be on your own ? here live with it ".

natural disasters come from mother nature. they have been there since the beginning of time. from these "disasters" renewing and rebirth happen. just like war, a natural disaster is only a disaster depending on which side you're on.

Sin affected humans only.
Sin is a tendancy to do what is wrong ....usually for quick gain.
Forests have been leveled, causing mud slides.
Rivers have been polluted by big business.
These disasters to which you refer are often the result of sinful humans who don't try very hard to resist their sin.

I don't know if we can prove that, I know that after Adam and Eve sinned the world itself became under a curse.

Because religious people are nuts.

These people are no different from the Islanders who sacrificed 16 year old virgins to the volcano gods.

They have no comprehension of reality and many of them are dangerous. If you doubt what I say, look at the responses on this board.
