To Immigrants, I assume?

Stereotypically, illegal immigrants take jobs in agriculture, construction, and the high-growth service sector. Not all those jobs are low-paying (at least, not when held by legal employees, which is part of the point, really). There are 11+ million illegals: you can bet they're not all maids, gardeners, dish washers and letuce pickers. The jobs done by illegals are broader based than that, in large part because America's declining native fertility can't support the nations growth model, which is dependent on a growing labor base. Growing population is also required to keep programs like Social Security solvent.

Legal immigrants tend to take jobs that are more highly skilled, and in 'short suply' - absent immigration, that'd mean higher pay, so it's not so much a loss of job as keeping salaries for those jobs from rising as quickly as they might otherwise. Such jobs are also being offshored as much as possible.

concrete contractor, carpenter, tile setter, roofer, landscaping (big time), plumbing, painter, auto mechanic, checkout clerk, inventory stocker, office worker (secretary, personal assistant), car salesman, nurse, manager, dental assistant, photographer, caregiver, nanny, research assistant, and school teacher are the ones I personally know have been taken by illegals. The lowest paid is my neighbor's nanny at $100 per day plus room and board. The highest is probably the owner of a landscape company that employs approx. 28 illegals, has seven trucks and assorted equipment worth in the high six figures and owns a home worth over $800,000. He does not pay workmens comp, taxes, social security, insurance or carries a bond as required by legal contractors. We use him for our own landscaping because he is good and charges half what the legal landscapers charge.

I have nothing to lose or gain.I am retired.I live in an area where we have alot of Plants such as Dupont or a refinery. This are the jobs that most Americans are taking. A huge majority are white Americans. Our nearby Super Walmart is begging for stockers. All types of restaurants are begging for help. Some of the smaller companies in service or production have signs on their gate begging for help. Illegals are working in Mexican food restaurants but to tell you the truth I do know not where else they are working.

Apparently, certainly lower wage jobs such as lawn yard care, work in the food biz from packing to picking, construction jobs both from the down and dirty to supervising. Can't hire Mexicanos and not have one to run the show who speaks Spanish like a local.
I am a professional on several levels as far as work is concerned and my cohorts in crime tell me these stories about losing jobs, as an example to 3rd world country folks from Brazil, Mexico, Salvador etc. such as teaching math, science and languages (Spanish) to folks who come here and will work for less and can handle the large influx of Hispanic students who can't or won't speak English. The maine reason these folks get hired I hear is that they will work for cheap and put up with etrodinary BS in the classroom. For instance, if a child acts beligerant the teacher is required to keep that child in the class. Can't send em' out. If you can't justify calling the police, they stay in class.
Some folks have told me they left teaching because they feared for their lives. They were assulted in the class, guns knives the whole wild west deal.
Then there are other friends who are middle level managers in production for large companies. Guess who's getting their jobs? Yep mostly Hyspanics but others from abroad too. Like East Indians etc. They work for less and don't cause trouble apparently. Suit and labor relat. types of stuff. They just want the job. Wonder what this approach will do ultimately to the quality of fairness for ALL of us in the USA?
Folks losing their jobs, no more legal challenges to the big wigs of Corp. Amer., million upon millions of illegal and legal immigrants rushing in to gorge our labor markets?
Well, you can imagine what the end will be. I suspect it will be overcrowded everything, higher prices eventually, lower quality of lifestyle, ignorant people on every corner not reading or writing, crime beyond your wildest imagining ...and poerty everywhere. No more middle class America.
No more jobs for anyone but those willing to take a beating and work for chicken feed.

Manufacturing jobs, jobs in meat packing industry (including poultry), most contruction jobs, hotel and restaurant (including valet, banquets, hotel maid, food and beverage), landscaping and groundskeeping (including on public and private golf courses), maintenance and janitorial, jobs in textile, papermill, and apparel industries (including fabric and paper printing), truck driver, skiploader, dockworker, bus driver, agricultural jobs (a lot of which can be done by machines which is a lot cheaper in the long run), warehouse, heavy equipment operator, excavation, tree trimming, concrete industry (including pouring, paving, and building construction), concession stands, food prep, food packaging, etc....
ALL of these jobs have been done, in the past by US citizens, and every one of them can still be done by US citizens, and US citizens ARE willing to do them, and do WANT them.

The problem is with a glut of illegals in the workforce, and no real enforcement of immigration laws, criminal employers have been hiring illegal aliens to work for less money.
For example, a US citizen in contruction made $25 to $65 per hour in most contruction industry jobs, and up until about 1990, most contruction jobs were filled by US citizens. When criminal employers found that they could exploit the slave labor of illegal aliens who were willing to work for $5 an hour, they fired all the US citizens and used illegal aliens out of GREED. The price of houses did not go down, it was only the contractor, builder who ended up making a bigger profit. The illegal alien slave laborers took jobs from US citizens and got paid pennies for their work, the work has proven to be sub-standard, the US citizens in the contruction industry lost their jobs, a lot of families went on welfare, and the buyers of the houses ended up with homes that fell apart because of sub-standard, illegal alien labor.
In the Hotel and Restaurant industry, one example is banquet porters and servers at hotels. US citizens have always done that job, they averaged $45 to $65 an hour in pay (which included their split of the tips). When criminal employers replaced US citizens with illegal aliens to do those jobs, the illegal aliens were paid a flat rate of $5 - $7 an hour, with no cut of the tips. The tips were still included on banquets (15% of a $25,000 wedding banquet is $3,750 which would have been split up between all the servers and porters when US citizens worked that job), but now the managers do not split the tips with the illegal aliens, they keep the whole tip for themselves and they make a lot of money, when they did not do the work the tips are for.
All of the US citizens who did those jobs are finding that ALL the hotels now use illegal aliens, so they cannot find a job in what they have done for years. More families on welfare.'

This is for those who don't understand what illegal alien labor has done to US citizens who have always worked and WILL work.
