Do some more research on the company. Inquire with the better business bureau. If this is a legitimate business they will have the info to help you. If they are asking for a fee then you are not an employee. You are an independent contractor and you are required to pay taxes on any income you make over $500.
Working from home is not difficult, just as it is not easy. Have a plan and work it. Most people fail because of those 2 simple ideas. Good luck on all of your endeavors.

Be careful when going in for the 'Paid Surveys' lark. It is true, if you google 'paid surveys', you will come across a site which gives you all the info for free. I signed up with Surveyhawk but ended up having to pay a joining fee. Never, never, pay anything up front. Haven't heard of the company you quote but, if it's anything like the so-called 'money-making' surveys I've been trying recently, forget it.

Whilst many of these companies are not exactly scams, they will claim that you can make between £1-£5 doing online surveys. Ha! ha! - Here's the rub... They will email you surveys frequently. More than often, you will be 'screened out' within a minute - meaning you don't meet the 'client's' criteria. Other times, you'll be sent a survey which will take you '15mins' to complete ... OH NO IT DOESN'T!!! It will take you almost an hour because it will run on and on. And don't kid yourself you'll earn more money because you answered all their questions... More than likely, you'll earn no money at all. Why? They pay in 'i-points'. What's that? Well, one i-point is worth about 1p ... so, in an hour, you may have earned about 75p!!! You may redeem your i-points via Paypal (if you have an account) but, if you withdraw funds from Paypal, it ends up costing YOU!!!

I've tried about 15 survey companies. Out of all of them, only Indiefield (market research) and Saros are worth bothering with. I have applied for several research forums with them (worth between £30-£120) ... but haven't been selected yet.

About the worst of it all, are the companies who claim they pay 'cash' when, instead, you're entered into a 'Prize Draw'! One of them asks you to donate to one of the charities they have listed!!! In other words, be careful, steer clear of 'Paid Surveys' because, frankly, they DON'T!!!

I did NOT sign up with them because they wanted an upfront fee of $39.95 for the information.
