"mature" can be a code word for 'responsible', 'helpful', 'polite', 'respectful', and all the other things that parents really wish their kids were like (but usually aren't). In this case, it might very well mean that she doesn't think _any_ of you are mature enough to go, but she can't stop the others, or that she thinks that the rest are likely to get you into trouble. Be patient and try to help her become more confident that you can be a responsible person. You'll have plenty more holidays, and plenty more friends (not that this helps you feel better right now, of course).

You can't make yourself seem more mature as your family knows exactly how you are and how you react to situations. Maturity comes in time, and can't be faked in order to do something you may not be able to handle. Listen to your parents as they know what is right for you at this stage of your life.

Dont be in a hurry to grow up, enjoy your life, cause life is to short, It doesn't seem it when you are still a kid, but once you get out on your own, the years fly by, You will mature with age, and remember mothers' know best!

listen to and respect your mother.

i think that her using the "three months younger" line is an excuse for her real feelings.

maybe she's seen "Girls Gone Wild" and doesn't think you're prepared for a holiday with friends, and she wants to keep you safe.

you have the rest of your life to go WILD... find something else to do, and be thankful someone is in your life who cares.

3 months does not affect maturity. it's a developmental thing, and if you don't seem mature to your mom, then you're not going to be able to change her mind before you go. it's happened to me, too, so i understand what you're going through, but I'm sorry. chances are no matter what you do, she won't let you go on this trip.
