I believe that you are dealing with texture issues. For example I love things that have mushroom flavor (sauces and things of this sort) however, If I try to eat the mushroom itself I cant because the texture gets to me and I gag. I have this problem with lima beans and some meats as well. No, you are not strange, this is actually quit common. Eat the foods you enjoy and ignore the ones that make you sick.

I have the same problem with Ham. The second it hits my tongue I gag. This is not time enough to feel the texture. So, I disagree with the people that say it's the texture.

My Christmas is ruined because of it as my family says I am ridiculous and will not make anything else for me. So, spending Christmas alone.

Either it has something to do with texture, or the two of you have some past issue with these foods. Maybe you both ate some that was spoilt a long time about and got sick, and now your body/mind reacts to it badly.

I know a guy that got sick after eating something with whipped cream on it and since then refuses to eat anything with it.

This is probably unique to you and your sister. I have never heard of it. Maybe you guys were exposed to some negative talk about ham & sausage at some time? If you know you're going to react that way, just don't eat it. No harm done.

I doubt you are allergic because if your body was rejecting the meat than you would vomit also. Maybe it's all just mental? I don't know...it sounds pretty weird but I wouldn't think that you are allergic.

It's probably the texture, slightly rubbery and greasy, mmmm yummy.
