I'm in my early-mid 20's. I have bad headaches that pretty much stop everything I am doing. Some weeks I practically live off excederin migrane. This helps them go away. I'm not really light sensitive during these. I know they are starting by a pressure in my temples that continues on to pain.

I also get a different kind of pain. Once in a while, out of the blue, a streak of pain will begin at the crown of my head and flash foward toward my forhead. It only lasts a second by it hurts so bad that sometimes it makes me scream. These pains have been occuring on and off since I was 17.

The only head injury I had in the past was a sub-dural hematoma when I was about 11 or 12. It healed by itself, with no need for surgery.

Anyone got any clues on what's wrong with me?

i used to also get these headaches. I could never figure out what trigured them. It could be a sinus infection that you have....i would get the headaches for 2 months a year apx. every 5 years and i believe i had some sort of infection. the headaches were random and could hit anytime in the day or night. usually i would get 1-2 a day for apx 30min-1hour. sometimes a shower would help and other times not..email me if you want any more info....i have done a lot of research and we could discuss the problem further.

Migraines!!!!
Write down for a while (like a diary) when those pains come, how strong they are, how long they last, what pills you take for it....
Then see a neurologist and take that diary with you and he can tell you exactly what would be the medicine for you.
Sometimes you can get those terrible headaches also from taking headache medications from over-the-counter. It sounds weird, but it is very true.

You probably have migraine headaches. Not everyone with migraines are light sensitive. See a neurologist to get this diagnosed and get treatment for them.

You need to do a scan to find the exact cause of your headache.

I only can say that it is not normal and it could be anything... You can't know for sure if you don't check it to the doctor...

Go to the Doctor. Excedrin Migraine (too much of it) can damage your liver, and you will become very ill.
