I look for someone that is great to talk to and funny. Looks really don't matter to me. We are all going to get old and our looks are going to get old with us. If I find someone that is great to be with, to talk to, and can make me laugh... well, that will last a lifetime!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. However for the most general of traits: CLEAN, nice haircut, nice clothing, speaks properly and has a job where he can afford to cover his own & have some extra. A decent car, a good family history & good group of friends. A man must have his own interests, but be willing to share them and he must show sincere interest in hers. Make a girl laugh and be a bit humble - not enough so that she feels you are weak. Stand up straight!!!!!! Be friendly and not smart a** like. IF warranted & ONLY if warranted, show affection & be complimentary - but never sappy. If you have missing teeth - see a dentist! THis is not just woman either - men are the same way - there's noone on the face of the planet that could honestly say that physical attraction is not important - it's not be the most important by any means - but yes - outward flaws affect the way people think when it comes to relationships. Think of it this way - you want someone who takes care of themselves - so why would'nt someone else & would you really want to be with someone who does take pride in themselves?

That special someone should meet your expectations in the type of person you want and need in your life. We all see love in different aspects because we are all not the same. Being so attractive isn't always the right way to go. It is whats inside that counts and how you treat others. Great qualities, considerate, caring and respectful towards others is so important. Looks are only SKIN DEEP, so don't go by looks alone. You will end up losing out. When your attracted to that person it should be for reasons like what they stand for as a individual. "A HUGE HEART", great morals and interested in what your feelings are in life! No one is perfect and either are you. Hope this helps! Cocoa

I definitely would date a nice guy with a low paying job. Money is the least of my worries when it comes to love. I would date a nice guy that was less attractive as opposed to a good looking guy that was not so nice. Even though I think my guy now is good looking AND nice, I have dated good looking guys who were jerks just because they were good looking and knew they could find a better looking girl than me.

I can honestly say, I'm in a relationship with a wonderful man right now, and have been for eight months, he does have a low paying job, has three kids, but we get along perfectly! My friends really like him and my family does too. He does have all of his teeth, except one has to be pulled!!! But that doesn't count =)

I was a single mom for 5 years, i use to write in my journal what i wanted in a guy. Someone I could get along with, someone who was kind, who cares about similar issues that I care about, someone who could get along with my family & friends, I didn't pay attention to the physical aspects, i was doing some soul searching. and you know when I first met my husband I thought he'd be one of those boyfriends who was around for awhile, then gone...he proved me wrong and when I went back and read my journals, he qualified on every point, plus I think he's the sexiest guy ever. Guess it pays to be picky!

The only thing that matters is the heart when it comes down to it. Of course you've gotta have that chemistry, but the thing I find most sexy on a man is a good heart, hard working, with a hilarious sense of humor.

I once dated a really good looking guy who only had one leg (motorcycle accident)...he turned out to be a real jerk. The qualities my husband has are exactly what I was looking for: smart, good sense of humour, not jealous,...he's a good looking guy, too, but those are the qualities that make him even more handsome.
