Yes, just because God is pefect does not mean he is limited in his decisions. Is it not possible to do good, in different ways? If you assume there in only one perfect path, then God would not have free will.

Imagine a man in a workshop - you!
You have three jars clearly labeled -- and you're not sleepy or drowsy or such.
one jar contains battery acid with appropriate label.
another contains ice-cream
and the last contains tea.
Will any sane person ever chose to drink from the one labeled battery acid? Never! The choice is available, but is unthinkable!
This is probably how many things are with God. Still so many good choices exists that there is no problem in regard to exercising free will.

God does have choices, however, he always make the best choice. Granted He is God, so He will know the best choice- that is why, we need to align ourselves with Him so that we can make those choices too, Jesus had a choice when He came to earth- He knew that He could have been saved from dying for us- thousands of angels would have come down to save Him- however the nails did not keep Him on the cross- His love did.

God is perfect in his being and in his attributes. He is the definition of perfection, and the Definer of it.
As the Almighty, God does according to His will, but this is balanced by his cardinal attributes of wisdom, justice, love and power.
Whereas God has many attributes, there is only one of them that is the sum of his being, and that is love; so much so that it is said of Him that "God IS Love." (hO QEOS AGAPH ESTIN, 1 John 4:8)
Because God is love, the exercise of his will is never selfish. Balanced with his other attributes, God's will is concerned with what works out to the happy eternal future of his human creatures, who are made in His image.

You can have free will and still make all of the correct choices. Christ had free will, but still did what was right.
Perhaps this is one of the things we need to learn on this earth: how to make the correct choice even though we are not forced to.

a perfect being...why do so many people make god out to sound so ugly.
"he knows he is perfect before his creation."
yet he still needs the love of his creation?
god actually requires our love, "requires."
why? does god have an ego?
you people make god ugly, you make god in the image of your fathers or some other creepy fruedian neuroses.
why would "god" require YOUR love first?
Why would god set you up with the devil?
what sort of god lives in the book of job?
to believe in that god is to believe in a god bound to human failure and device.
free will? with hellfire and brimstone as the other option?
god equals zues in the way so many of these people portray him, with thunder coming out of his ears and armies of christian soldiers at the ready.
i suppose your god needs to be so human, that way you can justify all of your hatreds and judgments as though you are acting in the manner of god.

We are granted free will, not God, he is the granter. God is perfect, we will never be until the end.

If God is perfect then God can do anything.
If God can do anything he can see how it will all happen.
If he can see how it all happens then he cannot change it.
Therefore he is not perfect.

god is the alpha omega, the beginning of everything.....he isnt a human first of all...he is a spirit and his name is JEHOVAH wich means "causes to become"....that alone speaks for itself, that means that whatever happens or takes place, his Will will be done
