Gehenna and the Lake of fire are symbolic
for the 2nd death, Rev.20:8
Common sense tells us that if someone suffered forever, they would be alive forever feeling the pain.
But those who do not repent, do not get 'eternal life,' they get everlasting destruction.
There is no resurrection from the second death.
Do you have any consciousness of your life say 100 years ago. Nothing right? It is the same way for those of the 2nd death, nothing, or non existence.
God says that he detested the child sacrifices the Canaanites did, that the idea did not come up into his heart, and counseled the Israelites to not do the ways of those Canaanites.
God is love, and eternal death is enough punishment for willfull sinners, torturing is a lie.
God is showing love for all the loving obedient ones, by removing problems from their environment. The meek/righteous will inherit the earth, and will reside forever upon it. Psalms 37:29

No, I would say that you are right you don't see the love and that is the problem. If you did you would see the Savior standing with open arms ready for you to come to Him and not suffer the pains of Hell. Christ died for you, not just for the world but FOR YOU. People need to realize that, without Christ we are fallen from God's grace and Christ restores us to that place of Grace. It is a free gift, ready for your asking. Anyone who goes to Hell is going because they have totally rejected the way to the Father. Sin can not exist in Heaven and until you place yourself under the Saving Grace of Christ your sins are still in you and you can not stand before God as one of His children. This puts you in the other Family, which is Satan's. God does love you and He will try to influence you to accept Christ all your life, but if you keep rejecting then you have made your decision. Please reconsider.

That is very WRONG!! Why do you think God put Jesus here on earth? Why do you think Jesus died and shed his blood for us? So we can be forgiven of our sins. When you mess up and sin, go to God and ask him to forgive you of your sins. He is VERY forgiving and understanding. Just never think you can lie to God, cause he knows whats really in your heart. If you have a problem stopping a certain sin, ask for his help. God is where we get our true strength. God will do all he can to stop you from going to hell. But its up to your ways too. Blessed be Always -

God does not send you to hell, you send yourself to hell. You can either live for him and accept him into your heart and eventually go to heaven with him. Or you can fight it and deny him and go to hell, its your choice
" Then the King will turn to those on the left and say, "Away with you, you cursed ones, into the eternal fire prepared for the Devil and his demons! For I was hungry, and you didn't feed me. I was thirsty, and you didn't give me anything to drink. I was a stranger, and you didn't invite me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me no clothing. I was sick and in prison you didn't visit me." -Matthew 25:41
Some people believe in God but they don't believe that hell is where people go, it is where the devil is. My father believes that eventually everyone will be saved and that God will see to that himself...I don't have any scripture for that because that is not what I believe.

God rules in heaven.
Satan rules the earth and the hearts of those lost (2 Corinthians 4:4).
God had to make a place where everyone not wanting to be in his love would be.
It was so bad even satan doesn't want to be there. He spends all the time trying to get everyone else there.
"Misery loves company" and surely many miserable people want other people to be miserable. They never rejoice at other people's accomplishments. They just think of ways to ruin them.
In hell, you do every evil you want to do because everyone will no longer have a conscience BUT everyone else does what they want to do. So they never build anything or accomplish anything. You still do drugs and drink but find no satisfaction whatsoever.
Everyone is hopeless and they are in constant suffocation but never find relief.

God loves us all, but unless you love him and have a relationship with him, how can he stop you from deciding your own fate and sending yourself to hell?
And also, why should he?
He is so awesome it is unimaginable. But, unfortunately, if you do not believe in the living God of our Lord and Saviour Jesus, then you cannot have your cake and eat it.

Let me first finish the sentence for you in order for you to understand.
God loves you so much that he gave his only son for the forgiveness of sin.
Now with that being said, let me go into the following:
He does give you 1. Free will; to do as you please and 2. Reconciliation; to repent and ask for forgiveness.
I don't think it takes a brain surgeon to figure it out....of course you must take care of your affairs or else you will pay the consequences. If there was no hell..people would be out of control. Ponder upon that and you shall see the reasoning behind it. It's just like laws..if we don't have them, we would be out of control. Therefore, in order to have justice/reward, we must have consequences/punishment such as jail time, etc.

That is false doctrine preached by those who have never studied the truth in depth for themselves. It's basis is in the Pagan belief of the immortal soul. The bible says that man is mortal. That the wages of sin is death, not everlasting life in torment.

I never understood this one... I believe in God and all but this always confuses me. Jesus' 'good news' was that everyone who believes in Him is saved! (but everyone else suffers unbearable pain forever)
You will get Christians saying 'Yes but God doesn't WANT you to go there, that's why Jesus died for us. But you must believe.' Well if He doesn't want us to go there, why create the place?! And why can't He just take people out of there if He cares for them so much?
