I know exactly what's wrong. First I want to tell that what you are doing is great and correct. Drinking only water, exercising and eating healthy food is the way to do it.
But what you are doing wrong is that your exercise sessions only last for 30 min. You must know that 30 min of cardio only makes your body to warm up. And after 30-40 min it begins to burn fat finally. So basically you stop your exercises at point that is most important for your body and you should continue. So...
It's better to do slow and steady cardio, maybe do them little less hard as you were used. First 40 minutes - your body heats up and begins a process of burning fat. After the 40 minutes of cardio you should be very warmed up, sweating and also tired, probably you would want to stop now, because it's body natural response to make you want to stop now.
But you continue for another 20-25 minutes, and you force your body to burn the fat. That's what you didn't do, and that's why you couldn't see bigger results. Only change this. Everything else you described is just as it should be.
You will make wonders!
There is one more thing you can try. This is my personal recommendation. There is a product on the market called Lyse XL - it makes your body burn more fat, and also reduces the feeling of hunger a bit. But the main thing is that it makes the process of burning fat easier and better. You can find it here http://dietpills4free.net/?zokiy.
They also offer a FREE bottle which is enough supply for 2 weeks, you only pay the shipping... I'm sure you would like this one.
If interested, this is also a place where you can get free Hoodia: http://freehoodiapills.com/?zokiy
Okay, I hope I answered your question. Good luck to you!

You could be just building up your muscle. Muscle weighs more the fat.
However, I would suggest using a calorie counter website. I like www.my-calorie-counter.com it has a free and premium section. So you can monitor your calorie intake for free.
There is also a calculator where you type in your age, height and weight and it will tell you how many calories you should consume per day... if you subtract 500 from that you should lose 1lb a week, if you burn an extra 500 calories a day from exercise you should lose 2lb a week.
Just make sure you keep updating how many calories you should eat when you lose weight and it should work.
Other then that, dont go to low with your calories or your body will adjust to eating that few.

I'd say you are where you need to be, weight-wise. Remember that water weighs quite a bit, so you are constantly putting more weight on every drink you take. When you back-off of the water intake, you will see the weight loss you have actually experienced.
Why be so concerned about weight when you obviously are doing quite well at 5'8" and 165 lbs? Maybe you should consider some targeted exercises to firm-up some particular part that you are concerned about. Or, just grow another two inches.

you are doing good! its healthy to lose 1-2lbs a week, if you lose more its just water weight and muscle which will come back as soon as you start eating normal. but...diet is a way of life (neverending) not a sprint which results in yo-yo dieting.
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter your stats and it will tell you how many calories a day you need to maintain your weight. take 300-400calories off that number and that's how much you need to lose weight.
eat 5-6 small meals a day instead of 3 big ones.
5-8 servings of fruit and vegetables a day.
8 glasses of water a day.
4-6 times a week cardio work out for 30-50min plus light weight training.
no junk food, no sodas, no white flour (white bread, pasta, cookies, cakes etc)

You seem to be doing well. Weight loss slows with age and gender plays a role as well. Men lose weight faster than women. It's just how their bodies differ. However, a vitamin supplement may help. To lose weight I actually became a vegetarian. That's a little extreme but I do continue to eat eggs and dairy products. Remember dairy products allow you to burn more fat so be sure to get some milk or yogurt in! Be sure you're getting enough sleep as fatigue and stress can cause you to retain weight. Muscle weighs more than fat and seeing that use use an elliptical, this may be causing you to gain muscle as you reduce your body fat. You may not lose a lot of weight but you will be more healthy and physically fit. Keep it up!

It is not heathy to lose a lot of weight real quick. At your rate you are doing is good. If a person loses too quick their body goes into shock and the person gains the weight back. At your rate you will lose the weight permanently providing you understand the definition of diet. A diet is what you eat, this can be good or bad. Therefore, a diet is a lifetime adventure.
It sounds like your doing good with the cardiovascular exercises to achieve more dramatic results you need to incorporate weight training into your routine. Take three days off of the machine and weight train.

Are you gaining muscle? Some of the body fat is likely being turned into muscle and that is why you are not losing weight. Also, muscle has greater density. Its heavier than fat so if fat is being converted into muscle you won't necessarily notice such a difference on the scale. I would recommend you have your doctor measure your actual body fat. Then after a month or six weeks go back and see the change. Even if your scale doesnt reflect a big change, you will probably have still reduced your body fat percentage. Its not weight that's so important - its the percentage of fat that you carry on your body and also your cardiovacular health that are the main things.

People don't seem to realize, you are supposed to lose weight slowly. You are only supposed to lose 1-2 pounds a week. Those commercials you see for diet plans and such offering so much weight lost in such a small amount of time are fraudulent. You are doing it the healthy way. Keep doing what you're doing.

Make sure to completely cut pop/soda out of your diet. Run farther (at least 3miles), and maybe find someone to workout with. Sometimes working out with someone can help push you a little farther. For me, running outside feels a lot better than inside. Try running hills.

You are probably becoming very fit, which is not the same as losing weight, your fat is turning to muscle, and you are healthy. Don't obsess on the scale, how do your clothes fit, how do you feel?
