Just start exercising and eating right and weight will come off, but not 45 pounds in 12 weeks. Most people feel and look much better after more moderate weight loss. 1-2 pounds a week is what's recommended, but don't let that slow you down.

Cardio:
Frequency 5-6 times/week
Intensity: heart rate between 130-168 beats per minute
Duration: working up to 60 minutes a day (it could be split up into shorter bursts, but that the daily total to aim for over time) Start with about 20 minutes and work your way up from there.

As for your upper body, do push ups and pull ups. You can work at pull ups when you're in the park with your kids. You just need a bar to hang from. Three sets of 12, or whatever you can do, is a good start.

A healthy diet consists of a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, lean protein, low or non-fat milk products. Drink 8 glasses of water a day and the weight will come off. Don't rush it, just try and get into a rhythm with your exercise and eating.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter your stats and it will tell you how many calories a day you need to maintain your weight. take 300-400calories off that number and that's how much you need to lose weight.
eat 5-6 small meals a day instead of 3 big ones.
5-8 servings of fruit and vegetables a day.
8 glasses of water a day.
4-6 times a week cardio work out for 30-50min plus light weight training.
no junk food, no sodas, no white flour (white bread, pasta, cookies, cakes etc)

Maybe not, but you can lose about half that, maybe a little more if you do body-for-life. Just go to www.body-for-life.com, if you have any questions about the program, you can e-mail me at kbahr12@hotmail.com, I've been doing the program for about 6 weeks and I've lost 10 lbs of fat and I've gained 5 lbs of muscle!!!

Try the birmingham hospital diet. It worked for me! I ate everything that was allowed and exercised daily for 1 hour. I lost 11lbs in 2 weeks. (that was all I needed.) Im sure that in 12 Weeks you can lose close to 45 lbs.

Don't try to loose 45 lbs. in 12 weeks - half that much will be great! Set a reasonable & do-able program for yourself!

I think if you lose that much that quickly then you will probably end up in an early grave. Just a prediction. Your heart can't take that kind of crap.
