If she looks as though she's straining when going to the toilet then you should take her to the vet for a check-up. The vet will be able to diagnose any problem and give you medication for your cat. Always remember that if a cat begins to experience any pain when using a litter tray, that they will associate pain with the litter tray and then they begin looking for other places to go to the toilet in an effort to avoid the pain.
As others have already said, make sure you are feeding her kitten food and that she's drinking plenty of water if you're feeding her with dry food. If your cat is becoming dehydrated this can lead to constipation. A quick way to check for dehydration is to gently pluck a fold of her skin at the back of her neck. If the skins snaps back in to place she's fine, but if the skin takes a little while to relax, then she is dehydrated.
Good luck.

No, kitty should n't be ...meowing so much...
Maybe the litter, she doesn't like or there isn't enough litter in her pan... maybe need to top up...
Unless the poo is too hard... maybe next time when kitty goes, just watch and see if there is blood in the poo..
Sometimes kitty is trying to tell you something... and the only way to do is to meow...
Kitty can talk and you will eventually learn to understand her...meow...
If you notice, there are sometimes different sound....different meow...
If there is some blood in the poo , it is because you may have change the food too quickly.
Kitten's stomach is very sensitive..
Just keep an eye on her..
If you still feel unhappy then take to the vet...
Good luck...!!!

Try giving her a little butter, like a half teaspoon. This would help them pass hairballs and help with constipation. Are you feeding her kitten food or adult cat food? Make sure its the right type of food for her age. Of course, a visit to your vet is the best thing to do. If she makes noise, she is probably in pain.

When I got my kittens they were 8 wks old too. now they are about 14 wks. and they meow about 20 times a day. they might not enjoy being held if that is when they meow alot, but just go through the list( food, water, attention, and litter box)

My cat does the same thing, some cats are just more vocal than others when they are soiling. If you are concerned about it and think that the kitten is in vain you should call the vet.

Poor little thing. If your cat doesnt drink a lot of water like mine, try with cat milk. My poco wolfs it down and it keeps his fluid levels up. Also make sure you are giving her kitten food, it is full of vitamins and minerals which keep them healthy inside and out. I used whiskers kitten pouches in gravy. At night i also leave a little portion of dried food out. If she still sounds in pain going to the toilet its probably a bit more than dehydration so take her to the vets. Get well soon little one.x

Make sure she gets plenty of water and try a new cat food.It may be that. Are you feeding her kitten food? Make sure you do that until they are a year old.It will keep them healthy and prevent things like this from happening.I would try Purina Kitten Chow. You can get it at any pet store or drugstore. It costs about $5 per bag.Good luck with your new kittie!! :)

Some cats like to "talk" when they poop - weird but true. Check her poops to see if they appear hard and dry and if they do then try changing her diet around to see if that helps. You could also give her a little laxatone (available at your vet's office or in some pet stores/Walmart) every day.
If things don't improve in the next day or so then collect a stool sample in a plastic bag and take her to the vet's office.

Most kittens do that when they are learning the litter pan. They are use to their mom holding them down to clean them and they meow when she does it, so when they use the litter pan they meow thinking of their mother cleaning them. It's natural. Most of my kittens did that. They will eventuaaly stop meowing.

Some cats simply like to announce what they're doing to the world.
I had a cat that did that, in spite of the fact that I told him several times that I didn't care to know when he was taking a dump!
