Hello - I moved in November, 06 from MA to CA. Do I have to file state taxes in both states? What do I do?

Yes, you have to file in both states. Some states have a part year resident form that you can use to make it a bit easier. All in all it's a real pain though.

You file part-year returns in both states, listing only the income earned while a resident.

I moved to three different states in 2006 and the best advice i can give is go to a tax office for help.

If you had income in both states, you have to file both. You'd file wherever you had income - if you had none in CA then don't file there.
